Lil Wayne is now officially a free man!
The rapper was released from Rikers Jail in New York this morning (Thurs. Nov 4) around 8:30 AM after serving 8 months out of a year-long sentence for attempted gun possession stemming from a 2007 NYC arrest.
According to the NY Post, Weezy is on his way to Miami, FL and he and his crew are set to do it big with a party this weekend to celebrate his release from prison. Check out the party plans below…
The party on Sunday in Miami will draw hundreds including Cash Money Records CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams, Drake, Kevin Rudolf and Jay Sean. Party planner Cowie told us the décor will include a lot of burgundies and purples, while the menu boasts kobe burgers and jumbo shrimp, truffled macaroni and cheese and rose champagne. “If I’d have been locked away, there would be a much bigger list than that,” Cowie joked.
As we previously reported, Lil Wayne turned his self in to the NY authorities back in March after he scored a plea deal in the case that would only give him up to 1 year in prison.
