County music singer Miranda Lambert has a lot to be thankful for, and after making history for being nominated for a whopping 9 Country Music Awards (the most for a female in the history of the CMAs), Lambert says that she’s having he best year ever!

Lambert announced the nominations for the CMA Awards Wednesday (Sep 1) on “Good Morning America” and was told of her 9 nominations shortly before the show went on the air. Speaking on her excitement, Miranda said:

“They don’t even make a word to describe how I feel. I’m still coming to terms with this. I’ve had a band for 10 years and its all coming together this year. This means so much to me to be recognized by my friends. We all work together and pull for each other. Thank you country music for letting me live my dreams. God bless this industry and my fans!”

When she was told that she was competing against herself in a few of the categories, the 26-year-old musician said: “Is that possible? I didn’t even know that was possible!”

Miranda Lambert’s fiance Blake Shleton has three nominations of his own and Lambert says she’s just as happy for him as she is for herself……and maybe more!

“I’m so excited for him I haven’t had time to be excited for myself. This is a long time coming for him. He’s got four nominations, and male vocalist of the year is one I feel like he should’ve been nominated for every year and every awards show, and won, and he’s never even been nominated. He is one of the most amazing male vocalists out there and I’m just glad he finally got what he deserved for a long time.”

The 2010 Country Music Awards are to be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood and will be broadcast live on ABC from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN on November 10th at 8 pm.
