Kelis’ New Album Flops Hard After Selling Under 8,000 Copies its First Week

We don’t think we’ve ever seen an album flop this hard! According to Hits Daily Double, Kelis‘ new album Flesh Tone sold a dismal 7,833 copies its first week on the charts, coming in at #46. The album was preceded by the single “Acapella”, which hit number one on the Billboard Dance Chart.

This is extremely bad news for Kelis seeing as this is her first album on her new label and because of the fact that she actually did promotion for the single. But maybe this is karma for clearing out Nas’ bank account.

    I’m one of those 7000 people who bought it. It’s pretty good .I would’ve thought such a fun dance album would have done much better but then again where was her promotion ?

    this album is a master piece best album ever put out kelis is ahead of the pack everyone is starting to get into the electro vibe while kelis mastered it last year its a shame this album didnt sell
