R&B singer Estelle and designer Rachel Roy hung at an event celebrating the release of the Rachel Roy Spring 2010 Collection at Macy’s Herald Square Thursday (Apr 1) in New York City. The pair have a new limited-edition jewelry collection together and over 400 folks came out to see Estelle perform and to check out the jewelry.
Speaking to AOL’s Stylist about Estelle, Rachel Roy had this to say:
“I had seen her a few times and really liked how she took risks,” Roy tells StyleList of the R&B sensation. “When I met her, I could see we had the same taste in jewelry with edgy, bold, messy stuff. She’s a really hard worker, self-taught, and down to earth.”
And Estelle had this to say about her new friend Rachel:
“I see how hard she works, and I respect her,” she says. “She did her research on me and knew things people don’t normally know. She’s good people.”
