Oprah Winfrey announced late last year that she was pulling the plug on her 25 year run daytime talk show, which will air its final episode sometime in 2011. Many audiences and viewers were shocked and sad to hear the news, and now they’ll be even more shocked to find that Rosie O’Donnell just might be taking her spot, as reported by E! News and ShowBizz 411.

Since her 2007 departure from “The View” Rosie has had a lot of commercial debuts on the small screen except a few guest spots on shows like “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Nip/Tuck” and “Drop Dead Diva.” She joined the Sirius XM family last year when she premiered the daily Rosie Radio show, of which she hosts from a custom-built home studio in New York.

Bringing the Rosie O’ Donnell Show to daytime television isn’t exactly the absolute worst idea considering her history with her former hit talk-show “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” which won 25 Daytime Emmy Awards, including “Outstanding Talk Show” every year between 1998 and 2002. But will viewers of today find her brash and aggressive personality appealing for daytime television? Probably not, but we’ll see…
