Kicking off her promotional tour for her new movie “Why Did I Get Married Too?”, singer/actress Janet Jackson appeared on NBC’s the Tonight Show with Jay Leno Thursday night (Mar 18). In the 8 minute interview (split up in 2 parts), Janet talks to Leno about her life, her new book “True You” about why her weight goes up down and more. She also touched a bit on a past experience when she was asked to lose weight as a child on “Good Times.”

In the second clip, Ms. Jackson talks more about the new movie and how her brother passing affected the emotion she had in certain scenes in the new film. They also show a sneak preview of a scene in the Tyler Perry directed movie.

Meanwhile, we hear that her new single “Nothing,” produced by Jermaine Dupri, will be featured on the “Why Did I Get Married Too?” soundtrack as well as her upcoming album. The track, co-produced by Bryan-Michael Cox, will be available for purchase on iTunes March 30th. Speaking on the track, JD was quoted as saying: “You haven’t heard Janet sound like this in a long time and I think the song is perfect for the movie. It’s a really good record.”
