Rihanna is taking the Billboard charts by storm once again, this time pushing label mate Taio Cruz to the side. Her newest single “Rude Boy” is No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making this her fifth #1 as a solo artist.

“Rude” is Rihanna’s sixth Hot 100 No. 1 and fifth as a lead artist. Her most recent chart-topper had been as a featured vocalist on T.I.’s “Live Your Life” in 2008. Her other leaders are “SOS” (2006, three weeks), “Umbrella,” featuring Jay-Z (2007, seven weeks), “Take A Bow” (2008, 1 week) and “Disturbia” (2008, two weeks)

Since debuting on the scene in June 2005 with the No. 2-peaking “Pon De Replay,” Rihanna has posted more Hot 100 No. 1 than any other artist. Next in line is Justin Timberlake who has scored five chart-toppers during this span.

While not taking anything from Rihanna lets keep it real her album has not done as well as her previous one did. She should thank people like you and other media for pumping it up more like you have. Mentioning no names you love to talk about other artist album not doing as well as their other ones have. Why is it different in this situation.
