VIDEO: Fantasia Performs “Even Angels” on Oprah

Fantasia took to Oprah earlier today to perform her new single “Even Angels.” The song will be the first single off her new album, set to hit stores soon! Fantasia does a great job and vocally, she sounds amazing. We’re really hoping her label was right in picking this song for her first single though. It’s a much calmer Fantasia but hopefully her old fans will stay with her while she gains new ones.

Check out the performance after the break.

In a very candid interview with our friends over at That Grape Juice, Fantasia talked about how she plans to name her upcoming album. She says when the time is right, this currently untitled album will have the perfect name.

Sam (TGJ): Do you have an album title as at yet?

Fantasia: Not right now. I always pray about those. The album title means a lot. Like I said, with everything I’ve fought for and been through – I won’t say all, because you’ll see it on the show – but all of this could have really been over for me. As in DONE-DONE for me. Everything from the bad management, to the negative press…it could have been done for Fantasia. So the title of this album means a lot to me. So I’m going to pray about it, hoping that God gives me the best one, the one that will best describe my music, that will best describe what I’m talking about, what stage I’m in right now as an artist.

Fantasia looks so well and I am glad to see that she has regained control of her life. So many times in the industry young people are misguided and taken advantage of, but because of her belief in a higher power and some personal decisions of her own, one becoming educated and learning the business, he has brought her through this. I wish her the best in her life and career as well. I truly love her as an artist and enjoy her music. She ain’t nothing but the truth. Angels do learn how to fly. Welcome back, Fantasia !
