TeenNick Chairman Nick Cannon and his Grammy Award winning wife Mariah Carey posed for photographers on the red carpet of the TeenNick HALO Awards at the Newseum Wednesday (Dec 9) in Washington, D.C. The show, which honored four teens, airs Friday (Dec 11) at 8 PM ET on TeenNick followed by an encore presentation at 9 PM on Nick at Nite.

The HALO Awards, which stands for Helping And Leading Others, is something new from Nickelodeon that recognizes young people who regularly contribute to their communities.

Cannon, who hosted the show said: “One person can make a difference, and it’s my hope that this special will encourage ongoing activism and inspire a new generation of leaders.”
