It’s been nearly half a year since Chris Brown assaulted Rihanna, and Monday (Jul 20) his people released this video of him publicly apologizing for the first time since the altercation took place. In the video, he states that at the advice of his lawyers, he’s remained quiet until the legalities of the situation were straightened out, but he expressed that he deeply regrets the fight and added that he “accepts full responsibility.” Check out the video after the cut!
Better late than never we guess … but do you think he’s really remorseful about the incident or do you think he’s just doing this to save face AND his career?

i think that this shows alot of growth. people must realize that he’s only human and everybody makes mistakes. i think that u should not hang him for his faults, because im sure that you have done things in such that u regret, and thats notso pleasin to human eye yourself. to me his punishment was way too harsh, but no matter what ill contnuie to support him and love him! love ya!!!*NIKI**

I know Chris Brown made his mistakes and I’m not even gonna speak on that. I think its great he apologizes but this video doesn’t even sound remotely like its coming from the heart. he’s focusing way to much on what he’s reading from, and HELLO he is CLEARLY reading from something. Sounds too damn scripted.

Yes it dose sound like hes reading…BECAUSE HE PROBLY WROTE IT FIRST DUH.. Rihanna should speak up now..we all know shes not as inocent as portrayed! Rihanna needs to learn to stand on her own two feet, i feel like she always has to colaborate songs or name drop other clebs whens shes out n about. Chris’s talent is undeniable his career wil continue to be a huge sucess i look forward to his next album!! I wish Rihanna the best for the future as well. CASE CLOSED ALREADY!

Sorry, I think this is crap. I know everyone makes mistakes but this didnt seem sincere he looks so robotic , I think this is just a publicity stunt cause hes probably making an album or something and he wants sells because he knows what he did has done alot of damage to his career.

Everyone need to stop all of that. You see he is trying his best to get back the respect from is fans. he is trying his best to tell everyone that making the same mistake he made is wrong and no one should put there hands on any women. i know it is wrong of him to put his hands on rihanna but he is trying to change. Not only for his self but for all of us his fans and his haters.

Sorry it came too late and not from heart. It is rehearsed or on a prompter written for him. Remember he physically, verbally abused her and don’t forget bit her. He is SORRY it has ruined and hurt his career, oh and now sorry now that his album is going to be out. The story about his attorney would not let him speak, we don’t buy it. I mean how would an apology hurt him anymore it could have only helped his situation, remorse could have gone along way. He should have been donating money to Battered Women charities or volunteering at Food Banks instead he was out having a good time jet skiing and enjoying himself at Basketball games thinking this would die down but it didn’t and probably won’t. We’ll always have that TMZ battered picture of RiRi on our minds.

yeah right. this guy is obviously trying to save himself. He is a loser. I wont ever respect dudes that hit females even if they claim remorse later. You think if she had stayed and kept quiet that he wouldnt do it again, or would have felt any remorse? Yeah right. And to make matters worst he seen his mom go through it so he knew better. He’s just another sad excuse of a loser society allows to be famous. What is this world coming to when we forgive these garbage people for what they do so easily, not holding them accountable for their own actions, and allow them to continue being famous with no real consequences? What are we teaching the world with stuff like this? And then others wonder why everything is so messed up nowadays (young stars acting like whores, sex being the thing to make you famous though you lack talent, nothing of real substance or value anymore, etc).

ok sashauna- let him beat yo azz like he did RiRi and go party like he did to then “apologize” later and see how you feel? Or think about the many women battered by guys just like him that claim they are sorry but do it over and over again. Some of these women cant tell their story now cause they didnt survive these brutal attacks that got worst and worst. People forgive too easy and want to “move on” until something really serious happens. He attacked another female- never mind it was RiRi!!!! She is lucky she got out of the situation. I hope you wake up and see that no matter what this is unacceptable behavior!!! He is obviously not sorry but more concerned with his own image- as other people like him normally are.

Its sad to see you females on here ready to stand by a guy like this. Is your self esteem that dang low? No wonder people get away with so much. If you think this is a sincere apology and that he is trying to “change” then I really feel sorry for you and pray that you dont ever encounter someone like him because by the looks of your comments it seems like yall would take him back over and over until something serious happens to you and byt then it may be too late. I agree, ladies need to wake up and demand respect from these guys, not be afraid to make them accountable for their actions, and leave when things are not right.!! Thats why guys act the way they do- because too many women allow them to be that way. Women dont make these men live up to the real image of what a man is supposed to be because they are too busy settling for less and wondering why they are in the situations they are in!

Everyone really needs to give him a break, seriously . Who gives a fuck if it sounds like he wrote it down first ? I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t want to go on video sounding like a retard, doesn’t mean it’s not from the heart . And for the ones who say that this video is too late, did you not hear him say that he was advised not to speak publicly by his attorney ?
