Lil Wayne Sued by Concert Promoter for Sleeping on the Job!

Lil Wayne // 2009 BET Awards (Show)Rapper Lil Wayne decided to sleep through a concert appearance back in September 2008, and now he might have to pay up. Red City Entertainment is suing Weezy for nearly half a million dollars for missing a concert appearance in the Bahamas. The promoters claim they fronted $432,000 for Wayne to perform, but when September 27th 2008 rolled around, instead of being on stage, the New Orleans native was passed out in his hotel room.

According to TMZ, a lawsuit was officially filed Thursday (Jul 9) and it states that Red City gave Lil Wayne an advance worth $210,000. The rest of the money paid for his hotel expenses and various costs involved throwing the concert, which obviously didn’t go as planned.

Interesting to see how this all is going to play out…
