It looks like Rev. Al Sharpton had no idea that Chris Brown was scheduled to perform at Sunday (Jun 28) night’s BET Awards. In this video posted to MTV.com, the activist can be seen denouncing the rumors that he had something to do with Brown being bumped with the performance line-up.
I didn’t even know Chris Brown was supposed to be there, less knowing saying anything against him. I think that is absurd … Last time I checked, BET doesn’t check with me on their lineup.

And for the record, we’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. Jay-Z didn’t have anything to do with it either. Celebrities have power, but not that much power. You can’t believe EVERYTHING you hear, can you?
