Jay-Z Had Nothing to do With Chris Brown Being Pulled from the 2009 BET Awards

Rumors are running rampant on the internet insisting that Jay-Z was the force behind Chris Brown not being able to pay homage to Michael Jackson at the 2009 BET Awards. A rapper just doesn’t have that kind of power. It was the BET execs, and more importantly the Viacom execs, who decided it wouldn’t be good for their “image” to let Chris Brown perform. Believe what and who you want to believe, but our sources can confirm that Jay-Z had NOTHING to do with Chris Brown being axed from the show at the very last minute.

Where are you getting your information? Is your source reputable? I’ve got that it WAS Jay-Z from one of Chris’ dancers who has been with him since day one & Chris considers him a big brother. He said Jay threatened to cancel both he & Beyonce’s performance. I’m sure BET would rather lose one than two acts.

well i commented on hearing that jay- z had cancelled CB’s performance. But still either way it’s still Fucked up because basically BET is saying that they don’t want a young singer to perform just cause of a hit, but you got nasty ass men thats degrading women, and saying how they want to fuck women in their music, and how they want to be gave head in their music . Your letting rappers like this perform rather than some good artists that just made a mistake. this is really big bullshit

I BELIEVE THAT JAY-Z HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT TOO, AND NOBODY CAN CONVINCE ME DIFFERENTLY.

First of all, I as well as a lot of other people was waiting with anticipation to see Chris Brown perform a Tribute to Michael Jackson, and you’ll know he would have made that sad boring show a helava lot better! If the rumors are true about Jay-Z having anything to do with Chris’s performance being cancelled, then my question would be “who is Jay-Z” , PLEASE!!! A young man who made a mistake, and trying to get his life back on track, because in actuality no one knows what REALLY happened. I was wondering why was Don Cornelius giving a chance to present anything, and it’s been reported quite a few times that he beats his wife……..so on that note, do I think Jay had something to do with it………..the answer would be HELL YES!!! \
Chris would have really helped that show, bcuz it straight SUCKED!!! Yea right reliable sources my behind!!!

Yes i feel that jay z had something to with Chris brown performing at the awards. I am not a jay z fan and if his wife want to ride on the horse with him well she can. I didn’t care for her performance either, the BET awards were awful Chris Brown should have perform as and entertainer you can’t hold him back for ever. Keep doing what you do Chris.
