According to recent reports, rappers Bow Wow and Jim Jones have both been dropped from their recording label, Columbia Records. Jill Scott & John Roberts

After giving birth to a bouncing baby boy in April,  GOT is very surprised to report that Soul and R&B singer-songwriter/actress Jill Scott has parted ways with her fiancee, musician John Roberts. According to Essence, Scott broke the news via an interview with the magazine when asked how Roberts was adjusting to their son Jett.

Michael Jackson's big concert announcement in London (Mar. 5th 2009)

Pop singer Michael Jackson, the biggest entertainer in our lifetime, has passed away, TMZ reports :(

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We’re told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back. A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived. Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive. We’re told one of the staff members at Jackson’s home called 911.

LaToya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead. Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince “Blanket” Michael Jackson II.

Ashanti // Century 21's Presentation of Grand Prize for Path to Your Dreams Sweepsakes

With the help of Century 21, a family from Dalton, GA scored a trip to New York’s Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal to meet singer Ashanti, who is the spokesman for Century 21’s “Path to Your Dreams Sweepstakes.”

, an emergency room nurse, entered the contest in hopes that her family would win the $221,000 grand prize, which will go towards the purchase and closing costs of a brand new home. Ashanti sang the song “Home” from the hit Broadway musical, The Wiz, at the presentation of the grand prize in NYC.
