Etta James // Beyonce

Beyonce was reportedly in tears when she heard Etta James talking smack about her back in February. But not the kind of tears you’re thinking of. Apparently Beyonce herself didn’t take what Ms. James said seriously from the jump and found her comments “hilarious.”

“I played Etta James (in Cadillac Records), so I did my research, I read her book. I was not at all surprised. That’s Etta. She’s hilarious.” [ SOURCE ]

Keyshia Cole

R&B singer Keyshia Cole is taking her third studio album A Different Me on a 20-city U.S. tour kicking off Wednesday May 13th in Cincinnati and ending June 20th in Los Angeles. And on select dates you’ll be able to see guest performances from Keri Hilson, Bobby Valentino and/or The Dream.

Keyshia also just wrapped shooting the video treatment for her new “Trust” single with Monica, the third video from A Different Me, and is already gearing up to shoot her fourth video for the album for the song “This Is Us” just before the tour starts. But she says going on the road and performing is one of the things she loves about being an artist.

“The most gratifying thing for me in show business is having the ability to be intimate with my fans. Singing directly to them is the most intimate thing I can do,” states Keyshia.

Amy Winehouse // Justin Timberlake

After a failed attempt with Snoop Dogg, Amy Winehouse is now considering a possible collaboration with singer/songwriter Justin Timberlake for her upcoming St. Lucia album. A friend of the troubled singer tells Britain’s Sunday Mirror newspaper:

“Amy gets thousands of offers a week from other artists. Justin Timberlake is one she is considering. But Amy will only do it if the other person’s music fits the mood she is in at the time.”

Pssh… whatever! Amy apparently loves the pipe she smokes crack out of a lot more than the one she uses to sing.

Michael Phelps

Rumors of him dating the controversial Miss California hopeful Carrie Prejean began to circulate about the blogs and various news sites over the past week or so.

If you’ve seen the Making the Band Finale, you were probably left with a pretty bitter taste in your mouth as far as the Danity Kane situation is concerned. Hell, they may as well have not even shown up if that’s all that was going to happen. We already knew what the deal was with them a while back. And to top it all off, Aundrea didn’t even show up… But here’s a couple of quotes from Dawn and D. Woods who both had very different viewpoints on how the finale went:

Dawn Richard:
“… I’m happy with the positivity at the finale. … I don’t know those answers about why he chose me. I’m happy that he wanted to move forward with me. Everybody looked beautiful,” she said about reuniting with everyone except Aundrea Fimbres, who had been let out of her contract in the episode that aired a week before. “I was happy everyone moved forward. It was great.”
