Rihanna covers May 2009 Vibe

Rihanna’s face is what you’ll see on the May 2009 issue of Vibe Magazine where they go in on the alleged fight between her and boyfriend Chris Brown, which occursed on February 8th 2009, exactly 2 months prior to today’s date. We think it’s a little too soon to be making this situation a “cover story,” unless you’re a tabloid like Star, Enquirer, etc. Accredited and respected publications like Vibe know better. Or at least we thought they did.

He was initially stopped for an equipment violation, reports AP, but after searching through his records, police discovered he had an oustanding warrant from the nearby town of Paterson. Jay-Z and Rihanna

Some of the biggest names of the celebrity entertainment world, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Rihanna, have teamed up with Parlux and Jay-Z’s Iconic Fragrances to launch a series of new celebrity fragrances, beginning in summer 2010 with the launch of Rihanna and Kanye’s signature scents. Parlux’s CEO Neil Katz confirmed the news to People.com, adding that a yet-to-be-announced “well-established female artist” will join the trio. And no … it’s not Beyonce.

For his part, hip-hop mogul Jay-Z is looking forward to the to expanding his empire, saying in a statement, “We are excited for the opportunity to partner with Parlux and their management team in the launch of these dynamic new brands.”

Parlux’s CEO Neil Katz continues, “We are extremely excited to begin work on our projects with Rihanna and Kanye West. Each is an extremely highly regarded celebrity at the top of his or her profession who is undoubtedly going to make an indelible impression in the fragrance industry, just as each has done in the entertainment world.” And it seems that the stars are just as confident about the impending success of the scents. In an unusual move, they will receive payment in royalties, profit sharing and Parlux stocks rather than cash. And while there’s no word yet on who the mystery artist is, Parlux dismisses the idea that the star in question is Beyonce.

It’s still all good.’”

Busta Rhymes // Sylvia Rhone's surprise birthday party at NorwoodBusta Rhymes said he wants to be the next Will Smith. No, not the rapping Will Smith … the acting Will Smith. Busta said he’d definitely pursue a full-time acting career on television if given the chance. He “got to know about what that syndication money look like!”

The Touch It hitmaker, real name Trevor Smith, is an avid follower of actor Hugh Laurie’s medical drama House and the hit crime series CSI. The hip-hop star has tried his hand at acting with small roles in films like Shaft in 2000 and 2002’s Halloween: Resurrection, and admits following in Will Smith’s footsteps and landing a role in a TV series would be a dream come true.

He says, “Yes I would (pursue a full-time TV career). I’m a big fan of House. I’m a big CSI: Miami fanatic. And they pay good. The Will Smith money is still crazy, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and all that. I got to know about what that syndication money look (sic) like.”
