The Dream // Love vs. Money album release party in Miami Kanye West // DJ Reflex's birthday party in Los Angeles

R&B singer The Dream, who recently released his sophomore album, Love vs. Money, loved his collaboration with Kanye West (“Walking On The Moon“) so much that he wants to record an ENTIRE album with the rapper.

“Everybody is trying to talk us into it,” Dream said of his and West’s friends and business associates. “It was first thought of by me. I was in Miami at the time, and I gave Kanye a call and said, ‘The best thing would be for me and you to do an album.’ I feel he’s at a certain place in hip-hop, I’m at a certain place in R&B, and lyrically, I’m just in a certain place in my lifetime. Let’s take the best of both worlds and put it on a CD and try to make something we can sell to the consumers. He says he’s with it. We’re gonna try to make it happen. I told him, ‘Let me lift my profile up a little bit.’ ”

Reps for Kanye didn’t comment on the joint album, but The Dream said that once they got the concept down, recording “wouldn’t take long at all,” and we believe him! Both he and Kanye recorded their latest albums in less than a week, and if you put their minds together in a studio, they could probably finish a 10 – 15 track album in a 24 hour period … no joke. Are you looking forward to this album if it sees the light of day?
