Singer Chris Brown and his legal team are hard at working making sure he doesn’t spend a day behind bars for beating his girlfriend Rihanna over a text message … a text message sources say came from his manager, Tina Davis. Sources reveal to Radar Online that ol’ Breezy expects to plead his two felony charges down to misdemeanors and attend anger management classes if he has to. As far as legally paying for what he did … probation will be in the works.

The charges, stemming from the alleged beating of girlfriend Rihanna, include assault and criminal threats. But the source close to the case says: “”There is alot of grandstanding in a high profile case like this, and the D.A. can’t be viewed as going lenient on Chris Brown because of who he is. If this was anyone else, these case wouldn’t have been filed as a felony.”

The District Attorney has the authority to reduce he charges to misdemeanors and that deal should be cut by Brown’s next court date, April 6, says the source. In that scenario Brown possibly would attend anger management classes and have a long probation period.
