Ne-Yo’s “Year of the Gentleman Tour” Makes a Stop in Miami // Sued by Club Over Missed Appeara

The “Year of the Gentleman Tour” – featuring Ne-Yo, Musiq Soulchild and Jazmine Sullivan – made a stop in Miami last night. Ne-Yo was supposed to play host for a party up in Washington, D.C. Washington (the state) at Bellevue on New Year’s Eve but unfortunately for the party planners, the R&B singer didn’t show up causing for them to nix the entire show.

According to a lawsuit filed last week in Maryland, Wet Entertainment booked Ne-Yo for the NYE gig and paid him $95,000 up front. The organizers claim they made all sorts of arrangements for the show — promotion, travel, hotel, etc.

They claim Ne-Yo’s people made it to Washington — but no Ne-Yo. The show was 86′d. Wet is suing Ne-Yo and the booking company that made the deal for the $95K plus more than $1 mil in damages.

The booking company had no comment. A call to Ne-Yo’s agent was not returned.

Went to the concert and it was awesome… Ne-Yo is definitely one of the most talented (very few of them are) people out right now.

the club he missed the date at was actually in Bellevue, Washington as in the state, not D.C.
