T.I.’s “Road to Redemption” Airs in February on MTV

According to reports published by The Associated Press, T.I. will have an MTV camera crew following him, in an effort to set teens straight, as he prepares to go to jail this March. Crews have already been following the Atlanta rapper since June 2008, and will continue to follow him after the show, “T.I.’s Road to Redemption,” premieres next month.

He’s already logged over 864 hours of community service, and must complete 136 more before March when he goes behind bars. According to reports, this show will only be in addition to, and not count towards his community service hours, but he hopes that it will scare teens straight.

Well i think is that T.I should not go to jail Because he has a Family and his career and his fans will miss him alot. And no one wants to see him at 58 or 60 years old, they should give him another chance and to fufill his comunity service and just let him go. I mean come on he just bought weapons and what if he just wants to collect them or something but he is not a bad person, and he is a nice person if you know him really well. If people want him to go to jail or prison then that makes them haters.

Wow. He shouldn’t do jailtime because his fans will miss him? Are you kidding me? He deserves to do time for what he’s done. There are many people with both families and careers who have served time for much less. He shouldn’t get off scott free just because he’s famous. Most of the laws set in this country are there for good reason. They’re there to protect us. T.I. Isn’t above the law. And its time he took his offences seriously. If celebrities don’t receive some form of punishment for their sins they’ll run wild. They’re not Gods. They’re people just like the rest of us and should be treated just as such.

I am a big TI fan. That said…

He should be going to jail. He/his associates attempted to purchase illegal guns, and do so illegally. That is a strongly punishable offense. He should probably be in for 5-15, with a possibility of early release for good behavior. That’s what would happen to almost anyone else who has had previous offenses that does that kind of thing. What I don’t understand is why he couldn’t just purchase them legally? It’s not like he doesn’t have the money…

I do feel as though he is definitely trying to do the right thing by the world. He admitted guilt, he admitted that what he did was stupid, and now he really is travelling the road to redemption. True repentance is not easy to seek out, and I have all the respect in the world for him trying to make amends for things. Not just that, but the fact that he is still writing and producing music and TV/movies in the midst of all this just goes to show how truly talented he is.

I JUST WANNA SAY AS A T.I. FAN THAT HIS ACTIONS DON’T MAKE HIM A BAD PERSON. WE KNOW THAT HE HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH PRIOR CRIMES,BUT WE HAVE TO SEE WHAT EXACTLY LED UP TO HIS LASHING OUT. HIS CHILDHOOD WASN’T A WALK IN THE PARK.H3 EXPERIENCED MANY DOWN FALLS IN LIFE AS A “youngster” BUT HE HAS MATURED AND HE IS A BETTER PERSON.i DO BELIEVE THAT IF HE DIDN’T GO TO JAIL HE WOULDN’T HAVE TIME TO THINK ABOUT IT,SO I WOULD AGREE WITH HIM GOING TO JAIL,BUT I WOULD LOOK AT IT AS AN LESSON LEARNED.HE KNOWS THE DECISIONS THAT HE MADE AND HE EXCEPTS THE PUNISHMENT THAT HE IS GIVEN.SO I STRONGLY AM ON HIS SIDE HERE WITH THE END IF HIS ROAD TO REDEMPTION.HE WILL SERVE HIS TIME AND TRUELY HAVE TIME TO THINK ABOUT IT.HE WILL BE AWAY FROM HIS CHILDREN,WIFE,FAMILY,AND FANS FOR A YEAR AND A DAY.I THINK WE SHOULD AT LEAST GIVE HIM CREDIT FOR EXCEPTING WHAT HE DID AND HOPEFULLY HE VOWS NOT TO DO IT AGAIN..AND NOT MAKE HIM FEEL WORSE THAN HE ALREADY DOES.
