Rappa turnt sanga (lol) Kanye West performed his singles, “Love Lockdown” and “Heartless” on popular sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live this weekend. I’m a big Kanye fan, but I must say I was disappointed in the Love Lockdown performance, and his choice of attire. His voice was cracking so much that he sounded like a pre-teen going through puberty. He did a little better with Heartless … but the erratic dancing kind of threw it off. I kind of like how he integrated “Pinnochio Story” into it though. Anyway, peep the Heartless performance after the break.

A few days ago, we reported that TLC member Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins was losing her home. Well, she sat down with Essence.com and set the record straight in an exclusive interview with the popular magazine.
ESSENCE.COM: Well, there have been reports that a Georgia property of yours is going into foreclosure. Is that true?
T-Boz: No, I’m not homeless. During my last marriage [to Mack 10], I had a bunch of things that were put in my name. If one of those properties is going into foreclosure then I don’t know. Although I’ve been divorced for five years, there are still a lot of things I’m dealing with on getting straight in that regard. All I know is that the house I live in with my daughter is not. When you pull up my name, my real house doesn’t show up because it’s not in my real name, because I enjoy my privacy and I’m not trying to have people be able to find me that easily.
JERMAINE DUPRI SUES ATLANTA NIGHTCLUB FOR USING HIS NAME » Atlanta native Jermaine Dupri is suing a nightclub and a promoter in his hometown for using his name without permission. The producer turned record executive filed the lawsuit last Tuesday (December 9th) against Pure Atlanta, a popular nightclub in the city, and Binyam Yayine from Elite Entertainment Group, LLC for using his name to promote a weekly “Industry Thursdays” event. When Yayine and his company contacted JD’s management to ask that he make an appearance at the party, they declined explaining that he’d be out of the country on the night of the event, and wouldn’t be able to make it. But Pure Atlanta went ahead and promoted the party with Dupri’s name, saying that he’d be hosting the “All Black Affair” on November 20th.
When JD and his people found out about the club using his name without permission, they contacted Elite Entertainment Group, asking that they immediately cease using his name and image to promote the event. But they ignored JD’s request and went on with the party anyway. And now Dupri and his management are suing Elite Entertainment Group and Pure Nightclub, asking the court to render a judgement against the defendants for “all profits received from their unauthorized use of Dupri’s name and image, including false designations of origin and false descriptions and representations of endorsement, approval, and/or sponsorship by Dupri.”
JD’s attorneys are requesting that this matter be decided by a jury in Fulton County, Georgia. He’s also seeking punitive damages, though no specific dollar amount was requested, in addition to legal fees being reimbursed.
The 2008 Video Game awards, presented by Spike TV, went down last night in Culver City, California at Sony Pictures’ Studios. The annual show, which recognizes the best computer and video games of the past year, was hosted by comedian/musician by Jack Black, who is nothing short of a damn fool, lol! Featured performers and presenters included LL Cool J, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, and more. Continue reading for the rest of the photos!
Brian McKnight performs the classic “Let It Snow” at The Second Cup Café with his two sons, Brian McKnight Jr. and Nicolas McKnight. I didn’t want to watch the video at first because you know how some celeb kids automatically think they were born to sing because their parents did. This is not the case with Brian McKnight’s’ kids because these two boys can really sing! See for yourself and check out the video!
Brian McKnight’s new Christmas album, I’ll be home for Christmas, is IN STORES NOW so make sure you go out and get it!

UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA // SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14TH 2008 » Kanye West was spotted performing on day 2 of the KROQ Almost Acoustic Xmas yesterday in Cali. Yeezy was the only hip hopper to perform on day 2 and from what I hear, put on one hell of a performance! Check out more pics of the performance below.

Yesterday, as President Bush and Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki shook hands during a press conference in Iraq, and Iraqi journalist got up and threw not 1, but 2 shoes at Bush. Unfortunately, he wasn’t hit. Damn his reflexes and damn that journalist’s aim!
Bush ducked, and the shoes, flung one at a time, sailed past his head during the news conference with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in his palace in the heavily fortified Green Zone. The shoe-thrower — identified as Muntadhar al-Zaidi, an Iraqi journalist with Egypt-based al-Baghdadia television network — could be heard yelling in Arabic: “This is a farewell … you dog!” While pinned on the ground by security personnel, he screamed: “You killed the Iraqis!” Al-Zaidi was dragged away. While al-Zaidi was still screaming in another room, Bush said: “That was a size 10 shoe he threw at me, you may want to know.”
Hurling shoes at someone, or sitting so that the bottom of a shoe faces another person, is considered an insult among Muslims.

What a way to end a presidency! All jokes aside, we’re glad they were only shoes. It could have been worse. Much worse…
Follow the break for pics of the incident.
