Grand Hustle rapper Alfamega recently sat down with our friends over at All Hip Hop and talked about what happened at the 2008 Dirty Awards. He also apologized to Radio One. He’s the guy who threw the chair water bottle on stage causing all of the ruckus.
“First I wanna apologize to [Radio One Atlanta Operations Manager] Steve Hegwood and all of Radio One, and to all of the fans, for the incident that occurred,” Alfamega told AllHipHop.com. “The fans, they came to see a show, they shouldn’t have been subject to the beef that we had. I not only embarrassed myself, I embarrassed them also.”

Leading Lady Taraji P. Henson talked about the video in a recent interview with AOL Black Voices.
Taraji P. Henson: It was so much fun working with Jamie Foxx and Bret Ratner, whom I had never worked with before. I’m looking forward to doing more work with the both of them. It was a chance for those who have seen my work to see me be really silly. I don’t think my audience understands that I’m a stronger comedic actress or that I’m a comedic actress. You have seen me in more dramatic films, but in my opinion, comedy is my strongest attribute. It was a chance for me to be as silly as I want to be.
AOL BV: What’s the story in the video about?
Taraji P. Henson: The song is called ‘Just Like Me’ and Jamie and I have been rivals since we were kids. The video opens with us as toddlers having a hot dog eating contest, and we go through these vignettes of competition. Silly competitions like a ‘High Five competition’ or ‘The Stare Down competetion’, and it goes through who wins. I win the majority of the time, but since it’s his video, he has to win in the end.
NBA legend Charles Barkley believes that is is disrespectful for Cleveland Cavaliers star Lebron James to discuss his free agency, which begins after the 2010 basketball season.
“If I was LeBron James, I would shut the hell up,” the Hall of Famer said on Patrick’s show. “I’m a big LeBron fan. He’s a stud. You gotta give him his props. I’m getting so annoyed he’s talking about what he’s going to do in two years. I think it’s disrespectful to the game. I think it’s disrespectful to the Cavaliers.”
Well, apparently, Lebron doesn’t think so and his this to say about Barkley:
“He’s stupid. That’s all I’ve got to say about that,” James said.
Rappers Young Jeezy and Nas were recently spotted on the set of their brand new music video for “My President is Black.” The video, directed by Gabriel Heart, was shot in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago. The homie Xilla was on the set in front of Martin Luther King’s Ebenezer Baptist Church. The official music video should hit GOT this month, and we can’t wait!
This past Friday, legendary R&B singer Whitney Houston and her publicist put out a statement denying any allegations that she has plans to get back together with ex-husband Bobby Brown. According Houston’s publicist, Nancy Seltzer, the rumors, which originaly came from The Chicago Sun Times are “a complete fabrication.”
The official word from Camp Houston sticks to the old line about the divorced couple remaining separate, ‘but good friends whose primary interest is the well-being of their daughter.’ Yet, several Georgia sightings of Houston and Brown in recent days — clearly looking very romantic while dining together — seem to boost the reliability of what I’m hearing. I’m also hearing that the divorced couple’s daughter Bobbi Kristina is eager for her parents to remarry.
There’s a rumor circulating about the blogoshpere concerning Kanye West and Victoria’s Secret supermodel Sessilee Lopez.
“Kanye was instantly smitten with Sessilee and it’s not hard to see why. But it’s more than just looks for Kanye, they get on really well and have a deep connection,” a friend of the model has revealed to Britain’s The Sun.
“Recently, Kanye has invited Sessilee to several parties and the pair have also had a few quiet nights together… Everyone wants a piece of Sessilee, she is one of the hottest models around. But she is very fond of Kanye though.”
This is, of course, a British tabloid. So as usual, a grain of salt is recommended. If it’s true though, Good for Yeezy!
HOSEA THOMAS CHARGED FOR MURDER OF T.I.’S FRIEND » The man suspected of shooting T.I.’s assistant and childhood friend, Philant Johnson, was found guilty by a jury last week. We discussed T.I.’s testimony a couple of weeks ago. 34-year-old Hosea Thomas was on trial for the shooting death of Philant Johnson and firing at T.I. and his entourage following a May 2006 concert in Cincinatti. In T.I.’s testimony, he told the court that he sincerely believed those bullets were meant for him.
T.I. told jurors that he believes the bullets fired at him and his entourage during a gun battle two years ago were meant for him, but they struck and killed Johnson, his assistant and longtime friend. T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, was not injured in the shooting on Interstate 75. Harris had been at Club Ritz following a post-concert party, and police said his entourage became involved with Thomas in a dispute over access to the club’s VIP area.
R&B singer Usher and his wife Tameka are receiving a rather nice gift this Christmas. During an early morning interview on Stevie Wonder’s morning show, the “In This Club” singer announced that he and Tameka are expecting another son to be born this month (December 2008).
Doctors told the couple that they’re having another boy, and he’s due to arrive on Dec. 15th, just in time for the holidays. Usher told Access Hollywood that their new bundle of joy will be “one of the best Christmas gifts there is to have. There are a few names,” he told Access. “But if you guys have any unique one, please feel free to hit me up. Let me know.” It was around this time last November when Usher and Tameka welcomed their first child together, Usher Raymond V. He turned one last Wednesday (Nov. 26th).
