All Hip Hop is reporting that as police continue to investigate the triple-homicide involving Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother, and young nephew, the “person of interest” in the case, William Balfour, will remain behind bars. The Illinois Prisoner Review Board ruled that 27-year-old Balfour must remain in police custody due to new evidence stating that he violated his parole.

It’s also being reported that his girflriend is cooperating with the police and told them that the gun used in the shooting death of Hudson’s family members matches a gun she had recently seen him with. He still hasn’t been charged, though. Looks like police are finally getting this case wrapped up.

It’s being reported that Brayel and Brendon Kelly, nephews of R&B singer R. Kelly, are in trouble with Chicago police following a failed robbery attempt at a barbershop. And to make matters worse, 15-year-old Brayel was shot twice by the store’s owner and is currently in intensive care in the hospital.

After being shot in the abdomen/chest area, Brayel, 15, is in intensive care, Advocate Christ Medical Center told MTV News. The singer’s estranged brother Carey Kelly, told a local Fox reporter outside the hospital that his son was shot twice and that one bullet collapsed his lung on the right side, while the other pierced his liver. Calumet City police told MTV News that one of the two boys went into a barbershop and requested a haircut. After receiving his haircut, he allegedly tried to rob the barbershop owner by producing a weapon and demanding that the owner place his money and jewelry in a plastic bag. The man complied but also produced his own weapon. Police say the suspect fired, and the victim returned fire. The owner later told police that he believed he hit the robber.

Wendy Williams’ sidekick, Charlamagne plans on moving back to SC and hitting the radio airwaves in Columbia by next week. All of this comes a couple of days after he was suddenly fired from The Wendy Williams Experience.

Less than 48 hours since his abrupt dismissal from WBLS’s The Wendy Williams Experience, Charlamagne Tha God is preparing for his return to South Carolina radio, he revealed to AllHipHop.com exclusively this weekend.

Charlamagne, who hosted his own show for six years on Columbia, South Carolina’s Hot 103.9 (WHXT-FM), will be back on airwaves in Columbia as early as next week. “I will be doing a specialty show with WXBT 100.1 ‘The Beat’ in Columbia,” he told AllHipHop.com. “I can do that from up here and it will broadcast down there. Radio is like training, [you] have to stay on that bike to keep the conditioning up for when that big fight comes. I didn’t have a non-compete clause, so I am able to work immediately in New York. I’m just weighing out my options right now.”

Usher claims that he was speechless Tuesday night when it was announced that Barack Obama would be our new president beginning next January! He also made the claim that he would have moved out of the country if hell somehow reached arctic temperatures and McCain had won.

Barack Obama doesn’t represent a color. He represents change. I think this sets us off in the right direction in terms of change of tone. … The fact that so many people were encouraged by [his] words … by his message. It was never self-serving, it was always for country. Country first!”

In terms of his own personal reaction to the outcome of the election, the 30-year-old added: “Man, this is incredible, after a lot of campaigning, and then a lot of prayer … It’s so incredible to see that this historical thing has happened, man. Before it was a thought of what happens if he doesn’t win,” the singer continued. “The public service that went into this and the encouragement that’s come out of it, it’s just incredible to see it happen.”

The musician also revealed he was prepared to uproot himself temporarily had things turned out differently. “In the event he didn’t win, I gave some thought to leaving the country,” he conceded before happily interjecting that such a drastic measure would not be necessary. “I’m proud to be an American.” [ SOURCE ]

LISTEN TO “EGO”

This weekend, our friend Katt Williams decided it’d be cool to drive around NYC with illegal weapons and leave a Mercedes and an Escalade illegally parked on Broadway.

Police noticed that the SUV was missing a license plate and that three guns were in plain sight inside the vehicles. When Williams emerged from a nearby building, he told the cops that the vehicles were his, and the officers handcuffed him. Eighteen hours after being arrested, the comedian posted $25,000 bond and was released right around the time he was supposed to hit the stage at Carnegie Hall.

“Wearing baggy jeans and a satin shirt, [Williams] … spritzed himself with cologne and jumped into a black limo,” the paper reported. “Half an hour later, it screeched to a stop near the rear stage entrance on West 56th Street, and Williams, surrounded by bodyguards, jumped out and disappeared into the hall.”

Hitting the stage just over an hour late, Williams reportedly apologized to the audience, telling them, “I’m not moving at my usual pace. I just got out of jail 35 minutes ago.” He assured the audience that he raced to the show because of them, though, not for the payday. “I wasn’t thinking about the money — maybe because they paid me in advance.” [ SOURCE ]

So much illegal activity in one weekend. But as they say in show business, “the show much go on!”

According to the NY Daily News, somewhat newlyweds Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon waited until their wedding night to share … “complete intimacy” with each other.

“It’s not that we had no intimacy, we just didn’t have complete intimacy,” [Mariah Carey] told London’s Daily Mirror. “It’s just me, and my feelings.”

The singer met the 28-year-old rapper – the son of a televangelist – in February. They dated for two months before getting married in the Bahamas. She says hanging on until after they were Mr. and Mrs. was worth the wait.

“I definitely don’t want to push it on anybody else,” the 38-year-old songstress said. “But we both have similar beliefs, and I just thought that it would be so much more special if we waited until after we were married. And it was, and it still is.”

Oh yeah, Mariah that’s real classy. I’m sure the 2 month wait was worth it…
