LONDON // TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14TH 2008 » Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown and former Run DMC member Reverend Run both hosted the 2008 MOBO Awards in London tonight. If you’re scratching your head trying to figure out what the hell a MOBO is and why it’s relevant, then let me school you. MOBO is an acronym for “Music of Black Origin,” and the actual award shows are held annually in the UK to recognize artists of any race or nationality performing music of black origin.
