The two remaining members of the popular soul band, The Real Deal, from the 1970’s, Floyd Henderson, now a retired businessman, and ne’er-do-well, ex-convict, Louis Hinds, take a road trip to the Apollo Theater for a musical tribute to their recently deceased front man, Marcus Hook. As they travel cross country in a series of adventures and misdventures, they air old grievances about thirty year old betrayals and learn the music’s still in them.

KANYE WEST TO RELEASE 4TH ALBUM THIS WINTER » Popular online shopping portal Amazon has Kanye West’s new album up for presale! “808’s & Heartbreak” (Def Jam) has been tagged with a December 16th 2008 release and a price of $12.99. The label has neither confirmed nor denied this information, so we’ll just have to see how this all pans out. The new album will, of course, include Kanye’s latest single, “Love Lockdown,” which he premiered to the world Sunday night at the 2008 MTV VMAs. No word yet on any other singles, who he worked with, or who’s featured on the album.

NEW YORK CITY // THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 11TH 2008 » Okay, don’t get me wrong. There’s nothing wrong with a big girl. But I’m pretty sure most big girls know about the “big girl color” rule. There are some colors that big girls shouldn’t wear. Case in point: Aretha Franklin aka ReRe the Body (copyright the e-homie Fresh). I’m not sure who told her it was okay to walk out the house with a lime-green shirt, ESPECIALLY with those cannons on her chest she calls “breasts,” but whoever they are needs to be led out to a field and shot. Twice.
