2008 MTV Video Music Awards: The Show

LOS ANGELES // SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH 2008 » I didn’t really get a chance to sit down and watch the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, so I can’t really tell you what went down, but judging by the photos, it looks to have been a pretty good show; much better than last year, I hope! But anyway, I figure it will come on 50 million more times over the next few weeks, so I’ll be able to catch the re-runs. The show featured performances from Rihanna, T.I., Christina Aguilera, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, and more.     i don’t care what anyone says christina killed it. and i like waynes perfomance and the ti-rihanna colabo. and kanye as always took it to another place. i was speechless after his set.

    Maybe Christina Aguilera killed it as far as overall “performance” goes (theatrics, dancers, her dancing a bit). But she certainly didn’t kill a damn thing when it comes to singing because she was lipsynching. Yo, even Rihanna who is in no way comparable to Christina sang live. What’s the excuse for Aguilera?

    PS! Yes, the VMAs suck now. The days when Britney and *NSYNC were scheduled to perform in one night was the golden era. Those were performances a lot of people looked forward to. It’s all hype nowadays and the only reason I tuned in was because of the slight hope of seeing Britney perform again. Next year, I’m going to do like last year: not watching.

    vmas needs beyonce! she’s the best in every thing on stage. she’s the only one that can REALLY perform: her vocals, her moves are just amazing… bee the world of music needs u back and can’t wait to see u again. U ARE THE BEST…

    rihanna she’s soooo hot and sexy but she can not sing. i thaught its gonna change well now it s been like 3 or 4 years if she want to keep her carrier on she has to work on her voice unstead of fashion and chris brown. all the singers have to work hard coz beyonce is coming she’s like the best performer ever in ALL levels!! she’s the legend and that people will remember
