The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards was full of big performances! Rihanna, T.I., Lil’ Wayne, T-Pain, LL Cool J, and Kanye West all lit up the stage tonight with great performances but in case you missed it…you know we’ve got you covered!     I’m disappointed MTV allowed Robyn to open the show and I think they did that mainly because of her track record (singles only) right now. If that’s the case, why didn’t Kanye open last year? Nevermind, we won’t get into that. LOL Anyways here opening was GARBAGE. I cannot stand her, but I love “Disturbia” and she really could’ve done more with this performance. NO stage presence at all. She has proven all my points once again. I liked Kanye’s new sound. I wonder when the new album is dropping because I need my ‘Ye fix! LOL

    rihanna should quit she sucks, she can’t sing, she can’t dance, she just stands there and she ran out of breath for just standing there. Xtina did a great job, that is what i call a performance.

    I disagree, every artist has something different about this. Rihanna is just chilled. She goes off just with her looks!

    wow u give christina credit but not rihanna please christina has a great voice but she lyp sang and looked akward as hell dancing like that….at least people stood up and clapped for rihanna…so what ev go ri ri she has only been in the game for 3 years and she will keep developing into a better artist…

    I liked Rihanna’s performance and i disagree she can sing she just choose not to do alot of work like Beyonce or Ciara she’s just the best n i love her n i like T.I new song with Her love you Rihanna and people stop hating on her yall just mad cause she got chris brown and she succesfull

    she chooses not to do alot of work? well thats what makes a good performance. thats the problem with rihanna she thinks the costumes and designs are enough to make her performance good, cuz she doesnt do anything else. she relies on the backtrack or the backup singers to sing the song and she relies on her dancers to do her performance. i know she doesnt have to be beyonce or ciara, but she could at least act like she likes doing what she does. everytime she performs she looks like she is bored and tired. just show me one performance where she actually gets into her own song.

    Eventhough she lipped it to me Christina killed, i didnt think she looked awkward at all dancing, if you look at the performance carefully shes doing alot of intricate moves here and there that you almost miss, i havent seen much of that since Janet in her prime. I never thought of christina as an all out performer like that so i enjoyed it. rhianna is alright, but she just doesnt seem to put that much into her shows, i mean yeah she has the dancers and customes but what does SHE do? atleast Christina put in WORK!

    rihanna she’s soooo hot and sexy but she can not sing. i thaught its gonna change well now it s been like 3 or 4 years if she want to keep her carrier on she has to work on her voice unstead of fashion and chris brown. all the singers have to work hard coz beyonce is coming she’s like the best performer ever in ALL levels!! she’s the legend and that people will remember

    I agree…I think that Rhianna is so caught up on things that dont even matter that she’s not giving any strong preformamces that the audience would like 2 c…She need 2 leave chris brown alone and get on the ball cause i think that he is the # 1 distraction
