Honestly this guy has very little talent and his song is terrible which is not his fault because it was written by somebody else but come on people get real his 15 minutes are up.

Donnie’s album i think is pretty good. Especially the tracks “Catch My Breath” + “Your My Idol” but unfortunatley got embarrased with his debut sales at 2,200 albums sold. Which got him to only #19 on the Billboard 200. He’s got talent but Diddy failed at advertisement for this album and made a bad decision on his Lead single. “Take You There” was actually the worst song on the album.

OMG I feel so sorry for him, seriously! He seems like a really nice and humble person and I can’t believe he was so naive to believe Diddy would make sure he turned into a huge star! Diddy is nothing but a con artist and I can’t stand him. I know Donnie feels stupid but is trying to keep hope alive. He needs to try going back to school so he can get a degree and then see if he still has a chance making it as a star.

actually i wouldnt be surprised if his album ends up the top 10. he has the show to promote the album the same thing that was used to promote day 26 and danity kane. plus not too many anticipated albums are coming out this week only young jeezy and new kids on the block.

Wrong.

Certifications work that way, not scans.

If “Yelena” went out and bought 234,630 copies of Donnie’s albums… well then, Billboard and Soundscan are going to report 234,630 copies of the album being sold.

I agree with you on everything else you wrote, but I have been in the music biz at the major label level for over a decade (started young).

And what you wrote above is incorrect.

Yelena…I can tell you like Donnie, but unfortunately, I’m going to tell you now, that by next week, they his sales will be deplorable.
NOT HIS FAULT THOUGH. He didn’t get promoted the way the others did. And the song is not poppin like it should be.

Yelena, you might want to re-read my post. I don’t think I discussed anything, or said anything negative, about Donnie’s talent. I was talking about the lack of promotion Bad Boy provides for their talent. “I Will Take You There” hardly gets any play on the radio, on countdown stations, or even in regular video rotations on MTV, VH1, or BET.

And about you buying 30 albums, that’s good for you, but “buying” albums does nothing to an artist’s album sales, at least not immediately. Album sales are based on units shipped, not bought. So if no one buys, the distribution centers don’t ship. And let’s be real now. Bad Boy hasn’t done any online promoting or marketing, nor have they paid for any television or print advertisements. You can’t sell an album in 2008 if no one knows about it.

Donnie is amazingly talented, and your simply just a hater. haha leme ask u something , are u a bad boy artist ? do u make music ? do u have screaming fans tryna rip your shirt off ? its k dont answer it il make it easy for u. the answer is no & u prob never will. donnies music goes straight to my heart hes incredible and i know he dsnt need my help going DIAMOND but i already bought 15 albums. what can i do :( they were all just laying on that wonderful shelf , infact i think il go buy 15 more : ]

Well he is on the same show that is used to promote DK & D26… I think the problem with Donnie is that he seems like a really bad Justin Timberlake clone… Without the looks and talent of JT…
