Numba 1 (Tide Is High)” will be a track included on reggae man Kardinal Offishall’s forthcoming album Not 4 Sale in stores Sept. 9th. Now, initially the track featured The Pussycat Dolls, but decided to use Rihanna instead I guess for that “island” feel. I actually kind of like The Pussycat Dolls’ version of the song better in my opinion. What do you guys think?

If you haven’t done so already, you have today and tomorrow to vote for your favorite blogs in their respective categories for the 2008 Black Weblog Awards! I know I’m late as hell on posting this, but I added the voting graphic to the sidebar a while back. I have a lot of things planned for the future of this site, and one of the biggest transformations is currently going underway and will be released within the next couple of weeks – no, not a new layout, but something damn near close and even better! But anyhow, please do me a favor and vote for Think2Wice in the “Best Teen Blog” category for the 2008 BWA’s!

Pop culture correspondent Chris Connelly, of Good Morning America, recently spoke exclusively with The King of Pop, via phone conference, about his career, his children, and his destiny. And Connelly also talked with Michael about how he would celebrate turning the big 5-0!

I would just like to personally say happy birthday Michael and thank you for blessing the world with your presence, you are ultimately way ahead of time and everything you do is timeless, your style as well as your music flourishes continually. You shall be studied 200 years from now by the forthcoming generation! Long live the King, love you MJ!

Calling Barack Obama the democratic presidential nominee is politically correct. But eff that. I’m calling this dude the next president of these here United States of America. Barry shut it down last night in front of a crowd of close to 90,000 people when he formally accepted the Democratic party’s nomination of him as our representative. I’m still in shock that a black man is going to be the next president of the United States. How about you? Part 2 of the history-making speech can be found after the cut!

All Hip Hop is reporting that Dr. Dre’s son, Andre Young Jr., was found dead in his home over the weekend:

Dr. Dre’s son has reportedly died, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner. The body of Andre Young Jr. was found in his Woodland Hills home on Saturday morning, says a report in the L.A Weekly. Andre Young Jr. was only 20.

Since they’re both the hottest thing since instant grits, I’m not sure which one out of the two is filming a new video. But if I had to guess, I’d say it were Chris since Rihanna just released hers not too long ago. Continue reading for more.
