Tatyana Ali is featured in the July 2008 issue of King Magazine. In this issue the Harvard grad talks about her new movie Hotel California, Being Black in Hollywood, Her new album, and Barack Obama.

What are your thoughts on black Hollywood?
It’s kind of like the Wild West out there, and not just for black Hollywood. In a traditional sense, things look bad—there are people out of work, shows aren’t going up and a lot of films aren’t being made, because of the fear of actors going on strike. But I think it’s a real fertile time to stake your claim. With things up in the air, it creates new space for people who are trying to break through, business-wise.

This is the official movie trailer for Overbrook Entertainments’ Lakeview Terrace starring Samuel L. Jackson and the lovely Kerry Washington. The movie is about a young couple that has just moved into their California dream home when they become the target of their next-door neighbor, who disapproves of their interracial relationship. Lakeview Terrace is scheduled to be realeased September 19th! Looks like it’s going to be good, can’t wait for it to come out!

Here’s an exclusive sneak peak of what’s to come from this new Sean John campaign Nelly is modeling for. A lot of the ladies on the other blogs have been going crazy over this new pic, but I want to ask the ladies that read T2W: Are you feeling the ad?

Can’t Believe It” is slated to be the first single from T-Pain’s forthcoming album, Thr33 Ringz (Jive/Zomba) in stores this Fall. The song, as well as the rest of the tracks on the album, features production by T-Pain himself. Lil’ Wayne features as a guest appearance on this track as well as another that will make the album. As far as what I think of the track? I don’t know, I mean, it reeally has to grow on me eventually because the snap-music-Autotune-whining thing is getting repetitive (with other people copying him); though, it is his style and signature. I love T-Pain and Wayne but I think they can do better, but then again, what do I know? I only listened to this a couple times …
