Aye girl, there’s something on yo head!! Solange (formerly known as Beyonce’s little sister) is currently hanging out in London, and was spotted in the city sometime today. It has just been confirmed that the singer will be the new face of Armani Jeans. Here’s a quote from Giorgio Armani himself:

Tyson Gay, Dwyane Wade, Allyson Felix, Terrence Tremmell, and Candace Parker all cover the August 11,th 2008 issue of JET Magazine. In this issue JET give you their pics for athletes to watch at the 2008 Olympic Games. Im predicting that in a few weeks JET is going to have a cover similar to this one, only it will read US takes all gold medals in the 2008 Olympic Games! Hey, it could happen!

Disney has released a teaser trailer for their highly anticipated movie The Princess and the Frog! The film based off the fairy tale, but is set in New Orleans during the 1920s and feature Disney’s first Black princess Tiana. The film features voices by Jennifer Lewis, Angela Bassett, Keith David, and Dreamgirls star Anika Nona Rose. The film isn’t set to hit theater’s until December 2009, but hopefully the teaser will give you something to look forward to until then.

Jay Z covers the upcoming special 15th anniversary juice issue of VIBE Magazine. According to nah right, these aren’t the only two covers for this issue. Vibe has yet to release the other covers, but i’m curious to see if they will feature other celebs or other poses by Jay.

USA’s Senior Men’s Basketball Team played Turkey tonight an lit up the floor once again winning by a whopping 32 points (114-82) in the 2008 Summer Olympics! LeBron James returned to the court after a mildly sprained ankle and brought the USA team to the win after a rocky start. James totaled 20 points on the board. LeBron talked about how powerful the USA team is after the game:

“We have guys that can come in and wear a team down. Wear a second unit down or wear a first unit down,” James said. “Once we realized it’s going to not happen in the first quarter but toward the middle of the second quarter and then toward the end of the third quarter, we can break the game open, and that’s what we did.”

Angela Simmons also known as Reverend Run’s daughter is ready to slide on the music scene to promote her and sister Vanessa women’s sneaker Pastry. The video is okay but she could’ve done something with the music. The lyrics are a bit lame. That’s hard to say because I love Run’s House and whole family but I don’t know about this. Here is another film to look out for by Universal Pictures! The time setting is Terminal Island, New York, 2020. A five-time NASCAR champion [Jason Statham] is convicted or “framed” for the crime of killing his wife and is sent to this overcrowded penitentiary where the inmates have to literally kill one another in the race to freedom. Tyrese Gibson will also appear in this new film as a character named “Machine-Gun Joe”. This trailer is so raw! Watch the trailer up above. You can catch this film in theaters August 22nd!
