New music from Missy Elliott from her upcoming album Block Party (Atlantic). This new track, “Best Best”, is produced by Danjahandz and also will be the first single from this new album. I personally thought “Ching-A-Ling” was the first single and “Shake Your Pom Pom” would be the second. I like those two tracks better than this but maybe it’s just me. Block Party will in stores September 9th.

It’s JUST OK for me…. it sounds wayyyyyy more like a really good album track. I think just because she’s Missy, she feels like she could just put anything out and it’ll be a hit. She could have definitely come harder than this. How the hell is she gonna release something like Ching Ching/Shake Your Pom Pom and then put that together with THIS? IMO a bad decision. It’s not a bad song, but its an awful single.

I don’t really like the song. It sounds boring. There’s so much going on with it that it sort of drowns out Missy. I love Danja, but this song needs some pep in its step.
