Leading up to the North Carolina and Indiana primaries, three obvious scenarios were discussed by analysts: Obama would win both states, Clinton would take both states, or they would each win one. The latter was thought to be most likely. Well they did each win one state by CNN estimates, but somehow it wasn’t quite that…at least if you were following the results as they came in.

In North Carolina, the polls closed at 7pm, some of the exit poll data was being parsed by analysts, and anchors and reporters were afoot about possible outcomes. Normal fare. Then some 30 minutes after the polls closed with little precinct data: Obama was declared the winner by the networks; the results later giving him a win by 14%. Neat and all wrapped up like a nice chicken burrito.

Celtics Lead (1-0)

(Photos: Getty Images) The Boston Celtics won the first game of the series against the Cleveland Cavaliers. I feel that the game was rigged because LeBron definitely didn’t get the foul calls he deserved during the 24.8 seconds in the final quarter. But all in all the Celtics still took the victory last night by only 5 points (76-72). Kevin Garrett scored 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. Rajon Rondo totaled 15 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Paul Pierce had 4 points…4 rebounds, and 5 rebounds. K.G. had comments after this close game last night. He responded:

“This was two heavyweights, just body-punching,” Garnett said ”There was no finesse, no jabs, just an all-out, beat-down, defensive fight.”

“I really don’t know what to say to be honest with you. It’s a blessing and such an honor to be here. To recieve this award, I can go through a list of thank you’s. My family, they enabled me to be the best I can be.., training everyday and they give up so much to sacrifice for me to be able to train and prepare for games and I’m just very honored and blessed to be here.” Bryant said.

He also mentioned that his team [The Los Angeles Lakers] helped him out a great deal:

“I couldn’t have won without my players, my teammates. This is a team award. This is not an individual award. This is an award I couldn’ve won on my own. If that was the case I would’ve won when I was averaging 40,” He laughs and continues. “This gets done because we all do it as a union. I can’t thank these guys enough.
