outside a club in Jamaica, Queens, in November 2006. The verdict prompted calls for calm from the mayor, angry promises of protests by those speaking for the Bell family and expressions of relief by the detectives. Detective Michael Oliver, who fired 31 bullets the night of the shooting and faced manslaughter charges, said Justice Arthur J. Cooperman had made a “fair and just decision.”

Justice Cooperman delivered the verdict in State Supreme Court at 9 a.m. Describing the evidence, he said it was reasonable for the detectives to fear that someone in the crowd that night carried a gun. He added that many of the prosecution’s witnesses, including Mr. Bell’s friends and the two wounded victims, were simply not believable. “At times, the testimony of those witnesses just didn’t make sense,” the judge said. Several supporters of Mr. Bell stormed out of the courtroom, and a few small scuffles followed outside the courthouse. By midafternoon, there were no suggestions of any broader unrest around the city. Mr. Bell’s family and fiancée left without making any comments and drove to visit his grave at the Nassau Knolls Cemetery and Memorial Park in Port Washington.

RATING:
Madonna hits us HARD with her CANDY this Spring with mint production by Timbaland and Pharrell and hot tunes featuring Justin Timberlake! Make sure you all go out and BUY Hard Candy (Warner Bros.) in stores or online (just click the cover on the left!).

The album has full on club bangers like 4 Minutes, Give It To Me, Heartbeat and She’s Not Me among others. Madonna’s Hard Candy is pulsating and enticing to the ear and feet. My favourite standout tracks from here would definitely have to be 4 Minutes (featuring Justin Timberlake), Give It To Me, Beat Goes On, (featuring Kanye West), Dance 2night and Voices! I would say a good quota of the album is urban-disco. Madonna fans, the real-reel fans, will not be disappointed.

If you’re still not quite convinced you can listen to the full album, Hard Candy, by simply clicking the link below and letting me know what you guys think!!

I love the concept. This is the May 2008 issue. I can’t wait to pick this up. I wonder what’s the content inside this issue, it has to be interesting.

Wizards Defeats Cavaliers

The Washington Wizards make a comeback Thursday night. Only behind by one victory, the Cleveland Cavaliers was defeated by the Wizards, bringing an end to their winning spree (2-1). The Cleveland Cavaliers lose brutally by a 36 point blowout (108-72). The Wizards was determined to win last night. They won…and they won hard! DeShawn Stevenson had 19 points. Caron Butler scored 17 points. Loyal fans of the Wizards’ backed up Stevenson’s comment by chanting that LeBron James was “overrated” over and over again. Although Stevenson had to swallow his comments before in the two previous games they were defeated in. LeBron had 22 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists. I’m definitely looking for to Game 4.
