Lakers Drown Kings: Win Western Conference Title

The L.A. Lakers dethroned the Sacramento Kings last night (Apr. 15th) with a 23 point leading win of 124 – 101 claiming their title as Western Conference champs.

Top scorers of the game: Paul Gausol with 22 points, Kobe Byrant with 20 and Lamar Odom with 15. The Lakers will enter the playoffs with an 8-1 record (wins to losses). With a response from Kobe, he’s not underestimating his opponents in the upcoming playoff games:

“Whoever we face, we’re going to have our hands full,” “No matter who you match up with in the West, it’s going to be tough.”

    they got the top spot in the west but aren’t the western conference champions yet. they gotta go through the playoffs to get that title.

    i believe the the denver nuggets will win the first round series…even though i know that tha lakers have lots of talent comin from kobe and pau….but my money is STILL wit DENVER!!!!!!
