Amy Winehouse Diagnosed with Skin Disease
PHOTO: WIRE IMAGE

British singer Amy Winehouse has been diagnosed with impetigo, her spokesman confirmed to PEOPLE yesterday. It’s a bacterial skin infection that causes pimple-like lumps – and is “is highly contagious, and scratching or touching the sores is likely to spread the infection to other parts of the body as well as to other people,” according to the Mayo Clinic’s Web site. She’s currently taking antibiotics to help combat the disease.

“She’s fine,” a pal tells PEOPLE. “She’s not hiding away. She’s never been one to care what people think.” [Nah? Ya think?? -- Dustin]

Okay, so my current favourite TV show is America’s Best Dance Crew with Randy Jackson on MTV. One thing I don’t get is Little Mother, why is she there? I mean … I know Shane has been B2K’s choreographer for awhile and JC has choreograph with N*SYNC but … ? I digress. Anyway, I haven’t really been into the show until just recently, my home team Live In Color got the boot y’all! I think LIC did a pretty good job tbh, they were totally out of their element with this weeks challenge, so I do believe they deserved another freakin’ week! Guh! Now I’m rolling with the Asians cos they be killin’ it, and I’m anxious to see what they come up with next dance challenge, they’ll have to make up their own choreography to Michael Jackson’s Thriller! This will be very interesting!

I’ve been feeling this guy even since I heard his bar on Tell Me What You Sippin’ On. ‘Rae Told Me’, produced by Hasan Insane, is the name of the song by Staten Island Hip hop emcee AC from the mixtape This Is AC. You can get more information regarding this project via AC’s MySpace.

Here’s the official video for Akon’s new single, “I Can’t Wait,” featuring T-Pain. If I see Gonzo T-Pain in another video, or see his name as a feature on another song, I swear to Bob I am going to blow something or someone up. I’m tired of hearing that tired ass synthesized voice on everybody’s songs. Aren’t you??

Cleveland from “Family Guy” to Get his Own Spin-Off Series!

Producers of Fox’s animated series “Family Guy” will create a new spinoff series centered on Cleveland Brown, the slow-talking, accident-prone neighbor of main character Peter Griffin. Tentatively titled “Cleveland,” the new show will revolve around the Brown family, with “Family Guy” writer-producer Mike Henry continuing to voice the Cleveland character, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The most level-headed of Peter’s friends, Cleveland is a 40-something deli owner who was previously married to Loretta Brown, whom he divorced in season four after discovering she was having an affair with one of his friends.

A Wikipedia entry notes: “Cleveland displays a political and cultural interest in promoting his fellow African Americans. While Cleveland’s race seldom causes conflicts with his entirely white neighbors, and while he serves as President of the local Chamber of Commerce, he remains subject to different treatment by the local police. An example was seen in the episode “Stuck Together, Torn Apart,” where the machinery in a police car labels him as a minority suspect. Another episode, titled “Blind Ambition,” showed Cleveland disagreeing with policeman neighbor Joe Swanson on how black strangers should be viewed in white neighborhoods (all in a symbolic, friendly discussion about a black bowling ball amidst white bowling pins).

“Cleveland” will be produced by “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane, former “Simpsons” writer and “American Dad” executive producer Rich Appel and “Family Guy” writer-producer Henry – who will also pen the series. There’s no word on when “Cleveland” is scheduled to debut.

Disturbing Tha Peace Resigns with Def Jam

Disturbing Tha Peace (DTP), Ludacris’ Atlanta-based record label, has re-signed a long term distribution deal with Antonio “L.A.” Reid’s Island Def Jam Music Group. This officially lays to rest any rumors that had previously stated that Def Jam had dropped DTP, and all of its artists, from their roster.

“The Atlanta Hip-Hop scene and the Dirty South movement in general owe more than they can ever repay to Chris,” Reid said in a statement. “Our friendship stretches back more than a decade and I never cease to be amazed at his imagination, creativity, and most of all his outrageous sense of humor.

“Now changing business conditions necessitate that we review our respective rosters and focus to ensure that future opportunities and challenges are aggressively achieved,” Reid continued. “Ludacris has built Disturbing Tha Peace into one of the iconic names in hip-hop, one that will remain an important part of the Island Def Jam family.”

While it is clear that DTP will still be backed by Def Jam, the status of their R&B artists – Shareefa, Steph Jones, and Bobby Valentino – is unclear at this moment.
