Here is yet another banned episode from The Boondocks: The Uncle Ruckus Reality Show.
I think I like The Hunger Strike better. I’m a little appalled at The Uncle Ruckus Reality Show, it was a tad bit over-the-top and not that funny to me. Nigga is starting to get redundant as well.
All in all, it was a “decent” episode. I got caught off guard a couple of times; about the mocking of black fraternities, how blacks are being ostentatious if they have rims on their cars, how Uncle Ruckus almost commited suicide after finding out he was black … I don’t want to go into detail - it’s ridiculous.

Yes, this is yet another banned episode, however, it is significant in the subject matter. The content is satire to the fullest, and with that being stated “satire” means displaying issues (laughable or not) with the intent to make change. So if you are watching the show, you will see that Uncle Ruckus does not like being black (made evident from the first episode), so when he gets his own show he will be anti- black as possible. Aaron McGruder does have messages in his shows, the black faternity joke was dead on. I respect my heritage as a black male with the faternity’s, however, back in the day im pretty sure it was about getting goals accomplished in a respectful way with education and enlightment as a main focus. If their were rivals in other faternity’s then it was playful. Now, black faternity’s look like different groups in a nightclub, dancing and shouting for respect, without the class or prestige of their predecessors. You notice that blacks step against each other and in some instances promote one group over the other with resentment, its like a organized black against black situation. McGruder also shows Ruckus’s ignorance as he claimed that blacks were shooting up schools, and infront of his face whites were tearing the school apart. McGruder was also on point with BET, with the shows they broadcast it makes you wonder if they want to keep children ignorant (the music videos are here and there). Have you heard the hosts talk on 106 and Park (Obama a black person doing his thing, Obama a cute President, he/she rockin this and thats hot, get money, im on the grind). Also making shows about gangster “American Gangster” and “Beef” seems like they are glorifying the gangster and altercations without implementing morals or showing a postive light to avoid it. When Ruckus was lied to about being white, you can see the two blacks laughing together and the white doctor staying still, showing that we are destroying ourselves. There are some things I would like to say in disagreement with McGruder, the constant use of the word N****, I agree with Michael Eric Dyson on the Cornel West album (listen to it). However, the word needs to be rarely or not used at all for the promotion of it jsut increases confusion and ignorance. I also disagree with his some of his criticism of BET, so called “reality shows” are for everybody to make, black people make some, now they are ignorant? Also I do not think that the head chair lady of BET should have been made that evil, killing others for their lack of ignorance, come on?!!! That being stated, the boondocks have hit on another issue to be discussed, however, since the episode is banned we will all have to watch as well as discuss on the internet. The Revolution continues……

Yes, this is another great Boondocks episode. And I feel like the only way to get peoples attention is for something to be over the top. I do slightly agree with the greek organization thing, however, that can be applied to anything like why is there a level of “IVY like” black institutions that separate themselves from other historically black institutions? Also, that can be said about Harvard So, I look for more edgy remarks from McGruders camp.and other actual Ivies, why do they separate themselves instead of making an amalgamated educational structure. I do not believe Harvard is the best school in the world or America blah blah blah. And if you want to get on anything, maybe Ruckus was into something about Morehouse being less-House…I am currently a junior at Morehouse and every year, it seems to get less and less enthralling to me. I still have pride in the students at my school but the institution itself is a big question mark. And, when you find out about alumni and their background (like King and his incessant plagiarism or even the fact that he wasn’t the sole leader of the civil rights movement, yet THEY-media outlets, etc.- make him to be) it becomes a little doubtful. Also, for the “black people” reality shows (remark above me) they, the popular ones, DO tend to be ignorant or if their premise was good, they trail off to something bad. And the segregation statements were interesting too, since lately I have found myself to be a slightly theoretical believer in re-segregation of education. So in conclusion, I look for more edgy remarks from McGruders camp, instead of long periods of nothingness on Adult Swim.
(Note: don’t try and get on me about my Morehouse statements, because I pay tuition there, so I can say whatever the hell I want).
