Trina’s new single, “Single Again,” premiered on Yahoo! Music today. She looks great (as usual) but um . . . Why it look like they shot this with a 3-chip, and edited it in Sony Vegas? LOL!

Isn’t Gerald Levert Dead?

Isn’t Gerald Levert Dead?

Okay, so I’m browsing through Getty Images looking for photos to post of various celebrities arriving at tonight’s 50th Annual Grammy Awards. Then I come across this photo tagged GERALD LEVERT. And I’m thinking to myself, “Isn’t Gerald Levert dead?” But I can’t get mad. This happens a lot. I can recall on several occasions when I’ve been browsing through Wire Image, and have come across a photo of some guy and they have the tag as “Chris Brown” or “Bow Wow.” Or they might even have Chris Brown tagged as Bow Wow, or vice-versa! And what’s even more ironic, is that Sandra Rose recently posted on her blog about an incident similar to this one where a photographer at Wire Image mistakenly named a performer “Keyshia Cole.” I mean, people do make mistakes, but in my opinion, if you’re going to be a respectable photographer, you should at least know your subject(s). And if you’re going to be taking photographs at an event like the Grammys, you should at least know simple things like … oh duh, Gerald Levert is dead, and has been dead for over a year now. Very disrespectful…

Now, I’m done with my rant … back to the Grammy posts!

Senator Barack Obama Wins Louisiana, Nebraska, and Washington

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Many voters in Saturday’s Republican contests showed they’re not yet ready to support Sen. John McCain as their party’s nominee while Sen. Barack Obama cut into Sen. Hillary Clinton’s lead in the race for Democratic delegates. Obama claimed victory in Louisiana, Nebraska and Washington on Saturday, as well as in the Virgin Islands. “The stakes are too high and the challenges are too great to play the same old Washington game with the same old Washington players and expect a different result,” Obama told a hugely supportive crowd of Democrats at the Jefferson-Jackson dinner in Richmond, Virginia. “People want to turn the page. They want to write a new chapter in American history.”

Clinton has 1,100 delegates and Obama has 1,039, according to CNN calculations. Obama leads in pledged delegates — 908 to 877 — but Clinton’s superdelegates — 223 to 131 — give her the overall lead. “If I’m your nominee, you will never have to worry that I will be knocked out of the ring, because I do have strength and experience to lead this country, and I am ready to go toe-to-toe with Sen. McCain whenever and wherever he desires,” Clinton said Saturday. [ READ MORE » ]

Remember the video I posted last week of 50 Cent publicly endorsing Hillary Clinton, and saying that he’s afraid that Obama might be assassinated if elected as the next president of this country? Now he’s defending that statement via youtube and Thisis50. He also responds to Bill O’Reilly calling him a “pinhead.”

» MARIO » CHRIS BROWN » FERGIE » KANYE WEST

Mario » “Music for Love” » LISTEN » (Full) » “Music for Love” is set to be R&Ber Mario’s forthcoming single from his much-underrated album Go! (J Records), which is in stores now - I highly recommend you buy this album! I think the single is gold, really every song from that album I find single-material. The song is really subtle with melodies and harmonies, it’s “whip-listenable,” as well as pleasurable, in my opinion.

Chris Brown ft. Will.i.am » “Picture Perfect” » LISTEN » (Full) » “Picture Perfect” featuring domestic-producer Will.i.am will be Chris Brown’s forth single from Exclusive (Jive). It’s interesting they’re making this a single; Chris Brown co-produced it. “PP” took me a minute to get into, it wasn’t my immediate favorite when I first heard Exclusive, but I’m feeling it now! I can’t wait to see how this plays out, with the promotion, video, etc.

Fergie » “Finally” » LISTEN » (Full) » “Finally” will be the final single from Fergie’s 3x’s platinum-album The Dutchess (A&M). The song itself was produced by John Legend, he was the pianist, and also Fergie stated that she would be performing with him at the 50th Grammy Awards. I liked this song a lot listening to Fergie’s album, the song was a nice ballad for her, it really showed her vocal capability nice.

Kanye West ft. Chris Martin » “Homecoming” » LISTEN » (Full) » “Homecoming,” featuring Cold Play’s Chris Martin, will be the fifth single from Kanye West’s 2x’s platinum-album Graduation (Def Jam). Unfortunately the song will only be released in the UK, instead of “Flashing Lights,” which is serving as the fourth single in the rest of the world. I said it once, and I’ll say it again, you UKer’s get everything! Lol. But for real, I really like this song, “Homecoming” has to be the most creative, conceptual song I’ve heard, as far as personification, this great man - is genius!

Here R&Ber Kevin Michael can be seen performing his latest single “Ain’t Got You,” one of the few spawned singles from his eponymous album, which recently premiered on MTV, and now you are viewing it on Think2wice :)
