Personally? Hell no. Because to me it seems as though he’s playing with God, and that’s not cool by any means. The first time he left rap to be a preacher was understandable, and quite commendable. But the second time? You can’t just flip-flop between stuff like that. You can’t want to be a rapper one minute, then want to be a preacher the next, then want to be a rapper again, then go back to being a preacher. You can’t leave the pulpit to become a member of G-Unit … G-UNIT (of all rap groups, he picks G-EFFING-UNIT!), and then once that doesn’t work out, you go back to preaching. In a literal sense, you can … because he did. But that doesn’t make it right.

And last, but most certainly not least, it would take him 2 days to properly conduct a full message because of that slow “accent” he has. Is it just me, or does this dude talk …. extremely …….. slow? I’m not even sure if that’s an “accent,” but for lack of a better word, that’s what I’m going to call it. I mean really, is he mentally retarded? What’s up with that??

Big ups to my boy Nigel for posting this video. The Bible clearly states that “he who is without sin, cast the first stone,” and I am well aware of that. But “Mason Betha” really needs to make up his mind. Does he want to be “Murda Ma$e” or does he want to be “Pastor Betha?” He can’t have his cake, and eat it too.

T.I. and Tiny Are Expecting a Second Son

T.I.’s rep has finally confirmed that T.I. and Tiny are expecting their second child together, reports PEOPLE. Tiny broke the news first on her MySpace. This will be T.I.’s fifth child. Sandra Rose is also reporting that the little bun in the oven is a little boy. If you remember correctly, back when all of the drama with T.I. and the guns went down, there were rumors circulating across the blogs that Tiny was pregnant, so this basically confirms it. So congratulations are in order for the couple.

T.I. is currently under house arrest in his Georgia home on $3 million bond, until the outcome of his trial, which is still pending. He was arrested in October of last year for for allegedly trying to buy a bunch machine guns and silencers.

If you’re a regular reader to T2W you’ll know that I am behind Senator Barack Obama 100%! So just in time for the primaries and caucuses, I decided to add a Politics category where I’ll keep you updated on who’s doing what, and who’s winning what states. I’m no politics expert, but this is my first time being able to vote for a President, so I’m still learning about how everything works … so we can learn together, lol. But anyhow, if you haven’t been living under a rock, then you already know that Barack took the win in the Iowa caucus. If you’re interested in seeing his speech, check it out above.

If you have not registered to vote, then I suggest you do before it’s too late! Contrary to popular belief, if you are currently 17 years old, and will turn 18 on or before November 4, 2008, then you can register TODAY and participate in the primary elections. I won’t be 18 until the 18th of this month, but I registered to vote last fall when they had a rally at my school, and told all of the juniors and seniors what I just told you. I’m from South Carolina, and our Democratic primaries will be held on the 19th (Republican) and the 26th (Democratic). So if you’re from SC, it’s too late to register to vote for the PRIMARIES, but you can still register for the NOVEMBER ELECTION. I provided a link below if you are unsure how to register, or if you’re not sure whether or not the deadline has passed for you to participate in the primaries.

Primary elections are important because they decide who will represent the Democrats and Republicans in the election. So, for instance, if you’re rooting for Barack Obama, then you need to participate in the primaries, because if he doesn’t get enough votes, then he won’t even be able to participate in the November election. Now, I could be wrong on how that process works, so if someone knows, please correct me.

Today is the Wyoming caucuses, so I’ll keep you updated on who wins what … even if my favorite doesn’t make the cut. I’ll try to provide you an unbiased view of everything, but I can’t make any promises lol. My mistake, the Wyoming Democratic caucus isn’t until March 8th. The Republican caucus was held today… But the first Democratic primary will be next Tuesday, January 8th and we’ll definitely keep you updated with that. And just to clarify what I said about providing an “unbiased view of everything,” I meant an unbiased view of the Democratic race. Eff the Republicans lol.

Britney Starts off 2008 With a Police Stand-off!

Pop singer Britney Spears kicked off the year 2008 in a way that she, and only she, can. If you remember correctly, she earned a spot at the top of our celebrities who failed to “Think2wice” in 2007 list, and it appears like she might make the top spot for this year too!

Police were called to Britney Spears’ home Thursday night in a custodial dispute that lasted nearly three hours before an intoxicated Spears reportedly turned over her children to ex-husband Kevin Federline. Officers were called to the home around 8 p.m., and the 26-year-old singer turned over the children around 10:50 p.m., Officer Jason Lee, a police spokesman, told City News Service. Aerial footage from KTLA-TV showed Spears being lifted in a gurney into an ambulance. It was unclear where she was being taken. Lee said Spears was under the influence of an unknown substance, and no injuries were reported.

The incident involved a family dispute that police worked to resolve “peacefully by court order,” he said. An Associated Press photographer outside the gated community that includes Spears’ house saw six police cars, an ambulance and a fire truck enter around 10:30 p.m. A dispatcher with the fire department referred calls to the police department. Spears and Federline are fighting over custody of their sons, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James. Federline, 29, has temporary custody of the children because Spears, who has limited visitation rights, has defied court orders. The two were married in October 2004 and divorced in July. Is Jay-Z Partnering With Apple?
PHOTO: WIRE IMAGE

Now that Jay-Z has left his post as president of Def Jam, rumors are circulating that he and Apple are on the verge of forming a new record label, reports Rolling Stone.

Jay-Z would “develop and attract” urban artists, a similar job he held at Def Jam, while promoting the acts on radio and in the media and giving iTunes some street cred. A spokeswoman for Island Def Jam would neither confirm nor deny the report, but said that Jay-Z is “considering several different options.” Seeing as Jigga is currently under contract for two more albums with Def Jam, it might be some time before he actually joins the supposed label as an artist, unless he has two American Gangster sequels ready to roll. If it happens, the Jay-Z/Apple collabo would mark the computer giant’s true entry into the traditional music business, and could be revealed at Apple’s annual MacWorld Expo on January 14-18 in San Francisco.

I hear Beyonce’s supposed to be a part of this too. We’ll see how it all pans out soon enough…

Here’s the official theatrical trailer for Will Smith’s latest movie to hit theaters in 2008, “Hancock.” In Hancock, Will Smith plays a superhero named Hancock who’s fallen on hard times, and when he hires a PR exec to correct his image, Hancock ends up falling for the guy’s wife, who is played by actress Charlize Theron.

We Take That Back … Eddie and Tracey Aren’t Married YET!

People has the first exclusive photo of “newlyweds” Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds after being married during a sunset ceremony on New Year’s Day on a private island off Bora Bora. But hold up … a rep for Tracey Edmonds has come out stating that the marriage between Eddie and Tracey isn’t yet official.

“As is typical when couples get married in foreign countries, a legal ceremony will take place when they return to the U.S.,” says Edmonds’s rep.

“The wedding that took place in Bora Bora was a ceremony to bind Eddie and Tracey spiritually in the presence of family and friends,” according to the spokesperson. “The couple plan a legal ceremony as soon as they return to the States.”

The two exchanged vows in Bora Bora on New Year’s Day, and plan on legally binding the marriage as soon as they hit the U.S.

Play of “Kid N Play” Involved in Accident

Chris Martin, also known as Play, 1/2 of rap group “Kid N Play,” was hospitalized in Durham, NC after his car was hit by a man involved in a police chase. Play’s SUV was struck by a man who was fleeing a crime scene, according to The News & Observer. The driver, 34-year-old Raul Riva Aldamo of Greensboro, NC, was shot by police while trying to escape and pronounced dead at the scene. The incident took place this past Saturday (December 28th) and Play was released from the hospital Wednesday.

According to police, three men broke into a house in Durham and began stealing property and subduing the residents. As two of the men exited the house, police arrived on the scene. Raul Aldamo drove at officers, striking one of the officers, who fired on the vehicle. Aldamo, mortally-wounded, managed to drive about a half a mile, when he struck an SUV driven by Play. Play and his passenger were ejected from the vehicle, while Aldamo died at the scene.
