Not only is she #3 on US Magazine’s “Top 10 Most Powerful Girls in Hollywood,” but R&B singer Rihanna is also the latest star to promote milk in the US. The Umbrella singer shows off the Got Milk? campaign’s trademark ‘milk mustache’ in this new advertisement. The 19-year-old Barbados-born star is pictured in a short dress on a sofa next to the words: “Drink it in. Pop star? Not exactly. Milk is more my move. Some studies suggest that teens who choose milk instead of sugary drinks tend to be leaner and the protein helps build muscle. So, shut up and drink.”

Shut up and drink? By the looks of this ad, Rihanna looks like she needs to shut up and head on to the bathroom, Lol. She looks a tad constipated. Maybe she should leave the milk alone … being lactose intolerant is no joke!

New Janet Jackson shoot – Discipline! This is remarkable. I love how the photographer captured the concept of “Discipline”. Beauty and elegance deprived, Janet being in a worn, rundown house looking out of a broken window … the contrast is definitely there! So stunning, sort of like a concrete rose effect. See more pictures over at the Best Damn R&B blog around, Toya.

LUDACRIS HIT WITH A LAWSUIT

LUDACRIS HIT WITH A LAWSUIT » Three producers from Chester, Pennsylvania, are claiming that Ludacris stole their track and used it on his hit album “The Red Light District.” The lawsuit alleges that “Boogiii Men Entertainment Group” sent a CD of beats to the Atlanta-bred rapper’s Disturbing Tha Peace record label back in 2004. And apparently one of those beats ended up setting the groundwork for Ludacris’ hit single “Get Back,” which only cited The Medicine Men and Tic Toc as the song’s producers.

The three producers who make up Boogiii Men Entertainment Group, Damon “Damethegreat” Mayfield, Markus “Vincent” Vick, and Anthony Turner, attempted to contact the label but were met with lukewarm responses, the lawsuit states. So now the three men, who have worked with artists like Juelz Santanta, Rampage of Flipmode Squad, Charli Baltimore, and more, are suing Ludacris and his label for copyright infringement. I meant to post this music video by Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds performing “Not Going Nowhere.” I really love this song so much! It’s funnie, I can’t listen to Country, but I’ll listen to Folk music. Isn’t that weird? LOL!

Rapper Lil’ Mama recently premiered her new joint on 106 & Park today, “Shawty get Loose,” featuring Chris Brown and T-Pain. Once again Michael Jackson, as well as Ms. Janet Jackson, have inspired the young masses of today. Their legend will live on forever, forever … forever.

Uh-oh! Does Young Chris Brown have some competition? Newly signed Epic R&Ber Casely makes his video debut “Emotional” just in time for Valentines Day! If you don’t know Casely, get to know him! Here’s the prelude: “In today’s music industry it’s a rare discovery to find a recording artist who truly epitomizes the word ‘Music’, but in R&B singer Casely that’s exactly what you’ll find. Casely, born and raised in South Florida to Trinidadian and Panamanian parents, is a shining new star that’s changing the music industry standard of what an artist and musician should be. “Another Part of Me” is just one of the few singles that broke the streak of #1 hits from the certified 8x platinum Bad album in 1988, chart-topping out at #11 on the Billboard charts after it was released. The video features live footage of the ‘Bad’ tour, the biggest selling world tour of the 80’s, bringing in an amazing revenue of over 124 million dollars citing Guiness Book Of World Records. I really love this clip, every time I watch I dance, it’s just full of energy! You really get the whole ‘concert experience’ from it. I bet the 70s/80s rocked at that time!

Yes, new music from Gnarls Barkley, I was getting tired (not really) of listening to S.E.! Gnarls Barkley is one of my most favourite bands ever. I adore them, I do. It’s nice to hear all new material in hopes of a possible upcoming LP. Oh, I rejoice a drowned yay over the sounds of my taping of keys, I’m speaking as I’m typing. The song, “Run,” is so G.B., very uptempo and jubilant. I love it!

Remember Leona Lewis? Her new video for the single ‘Bleeding Love’, shot by Jessey Terrero, recently premiered on Yahoo! Music and will be premiering on TRL today. I absolutely fell in love with this women’s voice on ‘Angel’ and now every time I hear her soothing vocals, I break! I wish Lewis the most abundance of success while debuting in the U.S.! Treat her kind, Jive! Btw, it looks like they shot this in Times Square – beautiful! I want to go to NY so bad.
