Could You Take Mase Seriously as a Preacher?
Personally? Hell no. Because to me it seems as though he’s playing with God, and that’s not cool by any means. The first time he left rap to be a preacher was understandable, and quite commendable. But the second time? You can’t just flip-flop between stuff like that. You can’t want to be a rapper one minute, then want to be a preacher the next, then want to be a rapper again, then go back to being a preacher. You can’t leave the pulpit to become a member of G-Unit … G-UNIT (of all rap groups, he picks G-EFFING-UNIT!), and then once that doesn’t work out, you go back to preaching. In a literal sense, you can … because he did. But that doesn’t make it right.
And last, but most certainly not least, it would take him 2 days to properly conduct a full message because of that slow “accent” he has. Is it just me, or does this dude talk …. extremely …….. slow? I’m not even sure if that’s an “accent,” but for lack of a better word, that’s what I’m going to call it. I mean really, is he mentally retarded? What’s up with that??
Big ups to my boy Nigel for posting this video. The Bible clearly states that “he who is without sin, cast the first stone,” and I am well aware of that. But “Mason Betha” really needs to make up his mind. Does he want to be “Murda Ma$e” or does he want to be “Pastor Betha?” He can’t have his cake, and eat it too.

H-E-L-L No. The man just said that the church is not for people in the hood. He wasn’t saying the hood was bad when he was getting his money form them, and wasn’t the hood where his first church was? This man is whack and God don’t like liars and cheats. He is a liar and a cheat, he cheating the church out their money buying 300 thousand dollar cars. The people in that church that stayed in their seats and did not leave when this man done left the church(doing disses and cursing all in the songs) when he felt it was okay and came right back in when he felt it was okay. That’s why I don’t go to church I don’t trust none of them folks. A preacher just got in trouble for using the church money to pay for new cars, pay off credit card debts and stuff. This stuff is crazy, they need to be on the look out for Ma$$$$$e, that’s all I see is dollar signs in that man’s eyes.

You know, this whole situation with Pastor Mase (I still believe in showing respect to a man of God, though I do not approve of his actions.) is very confusing and brings me a lot of disenchantment. I thought his album, “Welcome Back” was great and had a positive vibe compared to the cut-throat of the rap world, but when he ran with G-Unit, what was he thinking? I’m a Christian and I love Jesus- not afraid to say it. At least if I sin, I will make confess them to people I’ve hurt and let down if need be, and especially to God, but I think Mase is hurting a lot of people. Other hip hop artists who may have sought God, but now think all Christians are hypocrites. He’s also hurting his congregation and for him to literally JUMP into his ministry a few years after being born-again was a mistake. Jesus didn’t start his ministry until he was 30 years old… and he was Jesus! Anyways, I’m tired of people saying “well don’t judge a man of God”. Those statements may be valid because when I commit sin, I know it’s wrong and I ask for forgiveness and do my all to repent- therefore I don’t want to judge others. But bottom line is that a Pastor should not be running with ganster rappers… that is not right.
