CHRIS BROWN COVERS ELVIS PRESLEY “JAILHOUSE ROCK” »
So the 2007 Movies Rock! show went down last night (December 7th): a night of movies, fashion and music! Performances include Chris Brown, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Will.I.Am, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J and Eve! It looked fun, I’d say my favorite performance would have to be Fergie Ferg with “Live and Let Die” (Guns N’ Roses), she did an amazing job and did that song much justice. Ooh, I also love Usher’s performance of Gene Kelly’s “Singing in the Rain” – great show! Really they ALL did a fantastic job, I’m so proud of everyone! I’m mad I missed it y’all! Ha ha, expect more performances after the cut! CONTINUE READING
It’s that time of year when the nominees for the upcoming Grammy awards are announced, and I hate to be critical, but really … can someone please enlighten me on the CURRENT qualifications for getting nominated?! Having a “hit” or two on the radio? I mean really, T-Pain? Soulja Boy? Akon? I guess when you’re given lemons, you make lemonade. The state of music is really in a pitfall if the people I mentioned above qualify for a Grammy. To me, it just makes being nominated not feel so “special” anymore. But I’m glad my boy Kanye got his 8 nods though! Check out who else has the opportunity to take one home after the cut. CONTINUE READING
The December/January issue of Ozone magazine gets up close and personal (a little too personal) with some of hip-hop’s biggest stars, including Lil’ Wayne, Young Buck and Ray-J, in its annual sex issue. Of course hip-hop cover king Weezy is on the front of the magazine, but that’s not what this post is about. We want to direct your attention to what’s on the INSIDE of said magazine. Now I’m going to give a fair warning: some of the things Dwayne says may be hard to stomach, so I suggest you not eat for the next 2 hours, and prior to reading this, you shouldn’t have anything in your belly. If you’ve eaten in the past hour so, I suggest you hold off on reading this lol. Oh, and for those who don’t know … TMI = Too Much Information =) Big ups to Fresh for spotting this!
If your phone rings during sex, do you answer?
Hell no. No. No! That’s not making love. That’s fucking. Fucking is, [humping frantically, picking up the phone] “Hello!? Yeah, nigga!!! Man, you crazy!!” Nah, I wouldn’t answer the phone because I be screaming and everything. I’m sensitive, no homo. If you touch me, man. my shit is over-intense. I look at it as a blessing because it makes everything better.
Usher’s mother, Jonnetta Patton, tells PEOPLE that her new grandson is God’s gift to her son and his wife, just in time for the holidays.
“I’m extremely excited and filled with joy about the birth of my grandson, Usher Raymond V,” Patton says. “He is beautiful, precious, healthy and such a blessing. I’m very happy for my son and his wife [1]. God has truly blessed them with a special gift. This will be an amazing holiday season for all of us.”
Usher’s wife, Tameka, gave birth to Usher Raymond V on Monday night. “We are so happy and proud of our beautiful son,” the couple said in a statement.
[1] I guess she still can’t stand ol’ Tameka! Haha!
Judging by the photos above, it seems as though 18-year-old, 19-year-old, 20-year-old, or however the hell old he is, Bow Wow is immature in stature AND in mentality. Some people just don’t deserve the little cash that they have, lol. Here the young rapper can be seen (sans his “buddy” Omarion) waving some hundreds in the paps’ cameras in Beverly Hills, CA earlier in the week. He was rushed to the hospital the other day due to a combination on “stress and exhaustion.” He’s currently on tour with Omarion, Chris Brown, and Soulja Boy, and will be releasing an album with Omarion entitled “The Face Off.”
FAIR WARNING: This particular episode of The Boondocks may offend residents of the New Orleans-area. I understand that, but everything in this episode is a glass mirror (a satirical one if you will), so relax — even Lil’ Wayne guest starred in this. “What they got down there worth savin’ – what, jazz music? I hate jazz music; sound like a long car accident” – Uncle Ruckus. I was GONE. CTFU.
THRILLER 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION (CLICK TO ENLARGE)
EPIC RECORDS/LEGACY RECORDINGS UNVEIL THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF MICHAEL JACKSON’S THRILLER THE WORLD’S BIGGEST SELLING ALBUM OF ALL TIME Well it has indeed been a long time coming but the wait is now worth it, The World’s Top-selling Pop Artist Ever Mr. Michael Jackson will be returning with brand new and unreleased material featuring Will.I.Am and Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas, Akon and Kanye West for the final installment of Thriller 25th Anniversary Edition! The album will be available for purchase February 12th of next year and expect a new single to be announced sometime in December of 2007. I’m so overzealous — you have no idea! The album Thriller has been certified by the RIAA 27x platinum thus achieving Double Diamond status and making history as the first and only record to be America’s top-selling album two years running (1983 and 1984). Michael Jackson has started a mainstream phenomenon in everything, not just music, he is just simply the greatest and there will never be another quite like Michael. Ahh, I think my all-time favorite MJ cuts would have to be (next to “Thriller” of course), “They Don’t Care About Us,” “Leave Me Alone,” “Ghost” and “Scream!” But really, I like all of ‘em! This man puts out consecutive hits to me, he will always be number one, I cannot stress that enough. Oh, I’m so excited — can you tell?! **CONTINUE READING
