Don’t believe the hype. Let’s not forget that Chilli was older than Usher, too. Did Black people rail against her? Tameka’s statement doesn’t pan out when you look at couples like Bee & Jay, Will & Jada, Kenny Lattimore & Chante Moore, Tracey Edmonds & Eddie Murphy … the list goes on and on. While I think it is very TRUE that she has gotten a lot of negative attention that was very UNwarranted, I think the reason she gives for it is false. It is a cop out and it makes Black people look bad. Keep the focus on the real issues: #1 - people are jealous, white or black #2 - she doesn’t have a great reputation and that’s what people are reacting to, more than anything. As for Lindsay and Britney, the white blogs (if you wanna consider PerezHilton that, even though he is Latino) trash them on the daily.
