So, Ashlee Simpson premiered her new song, “Outta My Head,” produced by Timbaland on AOL Music recently (click the link below to here it). I really don’t know about this as a first single, I wasn’t feelin’ it, it might grow on me, though. I really wish she would’ve just released “I Get Away with It” becos that song’s wicked to me but only time will tell - I may like “Outta My Head” more once I hear the actual full to the song (which will be available for download exclusively on iTunes December 11).

According to People, police are slapping hip-hop star Akon with criminal charges after a fan said she suffered a concussion in an incident involving him throwing a fan off of the stage at a concert in Fishkill, NY. Akon is due in a Fishkill courtroom Monday to be arraigned on misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment, the Associated Press reports.

During the summer concert, Akon threw an audience member from the stage into the crowd after a bottle was thrown at him. According to AP, the boy landed on another fan, Abby Rosa, who told the Poughkeepsie Journal that she suffered a concussion. I wonder if, and when, she’s gonna sue Akon since she “suffered a concussion.”

It’s been reported exclusively by Bossip that Lil Wayne and Lauren London are currently engaged. The snitch told the popular gossip site: “they have been on and off for years and have had an open relationship. Lauren is very hood and likes thugs.” In the past, she’s been linked to T.I., Baron Davis, and Pharrell Williams. This is pretty new for me! I didn’t know Weezy was hittin’ that!! At first, I really could not believe it — M.I.A. artist of the week — dubbed by MTV. Weren’t they the ones who tried to get her banned though? Whatever the case, I’m really happy, becos she truly deserves the recognition. I believe she is one of the many underdogs of this industry, so you can’t even imagine how I felt about this. THIS is big for HER! M.I.A. is simply the shit, I cannot stress this enough, Doc.

This is Canadian singer Tamia’s third single from the album Between Friends (Image/Gallo). I love the song, Tamia, flawless as usual. The video fits the concept to a damn Tee, I would like to know who directed this?

Time for another throwback, this one is Brandy - “What About Us,” from the singer’s 2002 album Full Moon (Atlantic). The video was directed by Dave Meyers (<3.) and the actual single was produced by Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins. I decided to post the video since tomorrow is it’s 7-year anniversary and Full Moon was my shit. Brandy just had that complex sound that seemed almost organic and she’s always been one of my top favorite female vocalist. Brandy, please hurry with the album - the music industry needs you!

Mario ft. Akon - “City”

Here R&B crooner Mario can be heard with Konvict’s own Akon in a nice, smooth R&B duet entitled “City.” The song, which features Akon, is an unreleased track from Mario’s latest album Go (J Records). This was an interesting collaboration for me, Akon rocks it, I’ll admit. I can see why this didn’t really make the album but still a great track and solid delivery from Mario nonetheless. Mario I find so flawless collaborating becos he meshes so well and seemingly effortless, it’s magical. There’s talk of a “Crying Out For Me” remix circulating - it’ll be interesting to know if there are any guest appearances involved.

Bobbi Kristina, daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, was photographed (see above) smoking with a friend. Well, I’ll tell you one thing. Judging by the candid snapshot above, she ain’t so “little” anymore! Guess how old she is! 18? Nah. 17? Lower. 16? Guess again. 15? Almost there. 14? Yes! Bobbi Kristina is only 14 years old and photos of her and a friend smoking weed are making their rounds across the ‘net. Monkey see, monkey do … right? Well apparently this monkey needs a belt to that ass! Nippy, get your child…

EDIT: A lot of people are saying that she’s smoking “Hookah,” and not marijuana like I originally stated. Nevertheless, she’s too young to be doing ANY type of smoking.
