New Music: Alicia Keys – “Like You’ll Never See Me Again”

“Like You’ll Never See Me Again” is a tentative second single from Keys’ forthcoming LP, As I Am, which releases November 13th. I just knew I wasn’t going crazy, obviously there was a bit of “Purple Rain” influence in this song. It took me a couple of listens to get into this, which isn’t so bad, although I oh so ~~hate~~ LOVE when artists do Prince tributes, it usually does not do him any justice. Next to Britney Spears, of course, Prince is my toooop Entertainer that will ALWAYS be relevant (apparently) in music!

i really love Alicia Keys and this song is nice, but i’m not feeling her like i used to. She’s not the same to me. Her music is still righteous, but i’m not feeling her anymore…but that’s just me. She’s just losing her ‘Alicia Keys’ essence…but, like i said she’s still a great artist…but i’m losing interest now.

I LOVE this song…. It is amazing and it does sound like a prince song but it has that Alicia Keys twist.. It is one of those songs that will be a classic….I love her whole Cd…. she is an amazing artist and thissong proves that… No doubt….
