Well, it was bound to happen . . . please do not jump on me, as I am a Kanye West fan also, the album just didn’t leak itself! :coughKANYEcough: He knows what he’s doing . . . all in do time. Anyway, Mr. West hits us with his third LP, Graduation, which hits stores September 11th! Make sure you get it, cos I know I am, I give this album 5.55555555555555 stars joe! Where oh where do I begin? OK, let me start with guest, lol, appearances on this album include T-Pain, Lil’ Wayne, Mos Def, and Singer/Songwriter Dwele! Production by Kanye West, who also executive produced, DJ Premier, DJ Toomp, and Jon Brion. The Chi town rapper’s album features the hit “Stronger” and the upcoming third single, with T-Pain, “Good Life” (included below). My recommended listens are “Champion,” “Everything I Am,” “Big Brother,” and my all time favorite “Good Life” :sigh:

People ar just saying this is a 5 because they don’t like 50. This cd is a 3.5 at best. Its not better than college dropout or late registration. It has a lot of album fillers on it and it only has thirteen tracks. This is coming fro someone who’s not even a Kanye or 50 fan.

I fully agree with T.money on this album. This is going to be the biggest dissapointment from Kanye West, this cd isn’t in the same area code as Late Registration and College Dropout. Those two were cd’s were you just hit play and let it ride. This is full of filler tracks im glad i downloaded b/c come sept.11 and there are no bonus tracks or a whole different list of tracks my 9.99 stays in my pocket. The top 5 songs (aside from the two great singles) are Flashing Lights, Good Life, I Wonder, Big Brother, and homecoming even though its been out since college dropout its just revamped with a new beat and the hook is sang by chris martin.

This is the thing…I give the album a 8.5 out of 10. I think the measuring stick for his albums are messed up. You’re supposed to compare to all albums….not just his own and/or 50 Cent’s.
How does his album stack up to Arcade Fire’s or The Liars’ releases AND the Common or 50 Cent? The measuring stick isn’t just about hip hop alone….that’s all I’m saying. Kanye is never going to be straight grimey hip hop, or thug pimp money shit. He’s a damn fashionista…lol. He’s trying to push hip hop into the tredy rock territory…..just on that alone, he’d be a 10, therefore a little more important than…say 50.

Honestly, I am a huge Kanye West fan and I was happy when I found out the album was leaked on the internet so I would have a chance to check it out. When I listened to the leak I was not impressed in the slightest bit. Kanye’s lyrical content seems much weaker than his previous releases. He has nothing interesting to say and his beats are almost average (he made better beats for the Common album). Kanye has nerve in saying that this album is one of the best hip-hip albums of all time. After hearing this album It is a strong possibility that 50 Cents album will sell more..

i think the album is not quite as good as late registration (which is my favorite album) but its still a solid album. He goes for simple effectiveness over complex verses and as a whole the album is quite polished. A couple bad tracks but I think its 7-8/10

Im buying both albums both artist are talented in their own way! But I gotta give it to 50 for “I Get Money” everytime that song plays the dance floor is packed.

I happened to hear the leaked version of Graduation and I must say that It doesn’t measure up to his last album as far as fresh music, but all in all he still knows how to make songs that focus on things the people can seriously relate to. I got love for both artist (50 and Kanye) but when it comes down to it, I can really get down with what Kanye is talking about. As far as the album, I give it a 8.5 out of 10. The songs that do it are Good Life, Flashing Lights, Glory, Big Brother, and Everything I am. You take those along with his two singles, you got yourself a solid album. It’s a must have…..
