After the fiasco that was TJ’s and DJ’s Tastemakers Music Conference, Miami’s “finest” and the industry’s “best” had to join together one more time under the same roof for the second annual O’Zone Awards! Some of the shit that went down backstage, onstage, and on the red carpet is just too much for me to type, so you’ll have to gather your own conclusions by looking through all of the photos I grabbed. I’m not gonna front though, the show looked pretty good! A major step-up from last year. If you caught it on MTV Jamz this time last year, you know what I’m talking about. Shit looked like it was held in a high school auditorium LOL.
THE WHOLE TEAM NEEDS TO SUE HIS ASS… » Radio personality and “old fart” Don Imus has reached a settlement with CBS over his multi-million dollar contract and is negotiating with WABC radio to continue his broadcasting career there, according to CBS. ABC News has learned that Kia Vaughn, star center for the Rutgers Women’s Basketball team, has filed a lawsuit against Imus for libel, slander and defamation. This is apparentlythe first civil suit to be filed against the former radio host. Vaughn is asking for monetary damages of an unspecified amount. “This is a lawsuit in order to restore the good name and reputation of my client, Kia Vaughn,” said her attorney, Richard Ancowitz, in an exclusive interview with the ABC News Law & Justice Unit. Somewhere, a group of 14 – 16 year old girls “soaked themselves” upon viewing this video. Why? Hell, I don’t know! Low standards, maybe?
