Well, I’m sure you guys remember me formally introducing you to R&B sensation J. HOLIDAY and Contemporary R&B singer THE DREAM, now it is time to give you the best of both worlds! This version of “Who Owns the Track?” includes two very talented brothers, who happen to be new artists now, bringing some form of uniqueness and individuality to the game. Especially with the hit R&B single “Bed”! Now after hearing both versions, I think each artist brings their own type of flare that makes the song, so this is very hard – luckily I have you wonderful folks to help me decide! Wow! Dream’s cover is horrible. He sounds like he’s stretching his voice and it’s really airy. Not a vocalist judging by this song.

J.Holiday’s version is sick, it sends chills down my spine, i play this song everyday since i found it on here, i was disappointed with the video, i dont condone obscenity, but the video should have been so sexually explicit, that it matched the song, J.holiday rides the beat, and the dream is on top of the track, dreams version is horrible, everyone that i let hear the song says it sounds like mario, but i am loving this j. holiday guy, minus the crooked hats

i think they both could pull it off…but J.Holiday…the song fits him…literally…he looks 2 good. but no, Dream…sounded like a young boy singing it…well that’s how i heard it. J.Holiday’s voice is a quite bit stronger. WOO J!

I don’t think this song is explicit at all… its has a very old school love/ romance feeling, bringing tasteful back to R&B. J. holiday def OWNS this track hands down plus, his voice is clearer & stronger. Also, if you listen he Kills it from the very BEGINNING… with the Plug of his name, the bedroom talk & the maxwell like moaning & “Eh eh eh eeeeh eh” he gave it a personal touch. The Dreams version is good, but his voice is very light & he just lets the instrumental roll in the beginning then goes straight to the verse. J. holiday gave us 4-play && hits the G-spot =] Well done!

Both have their own unique styles. J. Holiday has a smooth, mellow, classic R&B voice going on. Dream though talented sounds like a MC forced to sing a love ballad. He’s almost overpowering the song with his voice. Is it an effort to display his talent? I don’t know. But the song is meant to be seductive. In short J.Holiday is singing like he’s making love, and Dream is singing like he’s straight fuqqin’.

J. Holiday is definately better. I also was a little disappointed in the video, but I know him and his girl so I can understand why the video is the way it is. Not only is J. Holiday extremely talented, he is very humble and down to earth. Gotta love him!

J. Holiday’s voice goes perfectly with the track, and his background vocals make the song. The Dreams are pitiful compared to J’s. Dream’s a good singer too, but u cant tell on this track

j. holiday ons the track because if he didn’t get the rights it wouldn’t have came out as a single and the producer would’ve got in trouble not notifying the record company that he had recently did the gave the same music to another artist.whoever dream is should’ve got the rights to the song.j. holiday sounds better any way

eh..J.holiday is ok but he didnt even write it.. all credit goes to The Dream!! j.holiday wouldnt be nothin without him.. his album is awesome and has songs on it that suits his voice more.

I know this is an old post, but I just found it now. J. Holiday does sing the song better, but you have to give The Dream credit for writing the song. Other people should not be saying The Dream has no talent. A lot of people diss him, but they don’t know his talents.

J Holiday does sound better singing it, but the Dream wrote it so they both win.
Its kinda like the song ‘More and More” that R Kelly wrote for Joe, Joe sounded better singing it so Joe’s got released, but it doesnt really matter, they both are getting paid!
I love the dream, he has got talet! Great song writer!
