50 Cent Make Up Your Damn Mind!

Good ol’ fiddy. What can we say about him? Well for one, on a few occasions in the past, 50 Cent could be quoted calling George “Dubya” Bush a “gangtsa” and saying that he’s like him in some ways. He even once was quoted saying things like: “I wanna…shake his hand and tell him how much of me I see in him.” Check out this article from a year ago.

ARTICLE FROM AUGUST 2006: Rapper 50 Cent compares himself to the U.S. president because they are both unpopular. The star is a massive fan of the Republican leader, who he calls his “homeboy.” He says, “You wanna know something? I actually like Bush. In some ways, I’m the George W. Bush of hip hop - nobody likes me, but I’m still gonna run it for the next four years.” But the rapper has no aspirations to emulate his hero. He adds, “I don’t need that kind of pressure. All I need is a sequel to my video game and a new hit single.”

Well, now the soon-to-be-flopping rapper is marching to the beat of a very different drum:

RECENT QUOTE FROM JULY 2007 “George Bush has a talent: he has less compassion than the average human,” Contact Music quoted 50 as saying. “By all means, I don’t aspire to be like George Bush,” he said.

ISN’T CURTIS THE MOST LOYAL PERSON YOU’VE EVER MET?

ALBUM REVIEW: Common - Finding Forever

Common is back with his seventh studio album, Finding Forever, set to release July 31st on GOOD Music. I recently had the pleasure of listening to the retail, the album features guest appearances from my favorite Neo-soul singer and jazz musician Bilal, R&B virtuoso D’Angelo, and of course the man that needs no introduction: Kanye West! Speaking of which, the album was 90 percent produced by him; it also features some great work from will.i.am, J Dilla, Devo Springsteen and Karriem Riggins. I really recommend this record for all those Hip-hop heads out there! Finding Forever was like an artistic voyage into the inevitable, commodious and beautifully arranged from it’s writers, features and especially producers. I really don’t want to give too much away, remember this is ART, I cannot waste art like that. Please go out and SUPPORT THIS BROTHER!, he is the reason that there is still hope! If you want to know my personal favorites they are “Black Maybe,” “So Far To Go,” and “Forever Begins”.

Remember the little BEHIND THE SCENES bit we showed y’all last week of Rich Boy, the beautiful Keri Hilson, and Polow Da Don on the set of the video for “Good Things?” Well, here’s the finished product! Check out the video above. I love this song, and the video is a perfect match for the summer. Keri needs to hurry up and put that album out though!

Bobby Brown arrives at Sydney, Australia Airport Bobby Brown arrives at Sydney, Australia Airport Bobby Brown and a “friend” arrive at Sydney, Australia airport Bobby Brown arrives at Sydney, Australia Airport

Sorry y’all I had to do it. I love it when MAYA RUDOLPH does that Whitney Houston impression. It gets me every time! Anyhow, good ol’ Bobby Brown recently touched down in Aussy-town (Australia) with a mystery woman. And if you were wondering, he’s STILL AFRAID OF THE AL-QAIDA. Why? Because Osama Bin Laden apparently had the hots for Whitney Houston (and still probably does). Bobby was in Australia for his “Greatest Hits” tour. How many “hits” does Bobby B really have?

SHEMAR MOORE RESPONDS TO THE GAY RUMORS

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF SUGE KNIGHT BIT YOU? » Would you a.) bite back b.) beat his ass or c.) take it like a man and run to the nearest clinic to get tested for various diseases? Apparanlty Suge took a bite into “Entourage” star Kevin Connolly at an ESPY Awards after party last week in LA. Several sources told THE NY DAILY NEWS were horse playing (who does that with Suge Knight’s crazy ass?) at a party thrown by Lebron James.

“Kevin and Suge were wrestling and Suge literally bit Kevin’s finger,” says a witness. “He was bleeding everywhere.” He was “too busy bleeding” to fight back. “Kevin didn’t seem too upset,” says the spy, “although he must have been in tons of pain.”

I can imagine! And not only that but Paris Hilton (yes PARIS HILTON) was spotted getting “very cozy” with Suge at the party, and even provided what witnesses describe as a “lap dance.” She’s such a BUCKET … I knew a few days behind bars wouldn’t change her that much. Check out the rest of Friday’s rundown after the cut! Oh yeah, here’s something to note. This is the first time this week I was able to get to the rundown before night-fall! Yay for me LMAO. Lloyd, T.I., and Yung Joc at the Scream Fest ‘07 Press Conference

Y’all know it’s summer, and for the past 7 years, BET has sponsored a tour in what they call the “Scream Tour.” From 2001 - 2006, the show featured Bow Wow, Omarion, and some other teeny bopper groups, but this time around they changed it up - from the name, to the line-up! For 2007, it’s called “Scream Fest” and it features an ATL line-up with T.I. and Ciara headlining, and Yung Joc, Lloyd, and T-Pain acting as openers. Now when they had those Pretty Ricky losers, and Bow Wow ‘nem, they had no problem coming to SC. Now that they have people on the roster that I like, they act like they can’t show SC any love! What’s up with that? Okay, enough of my venting. Check out the dates after the cut if you plan on attending…

Who’s Your Caddy? is a hilarious, fish-out-of-water comedy about superstar rap mogul, C-Note (Big Boi), who runs into fierce opposition when he tries to join the super stuffy Carolina Pines Golf & Country Club. Undeterred, C-Note gets the brilliant idea to buy the land adjacent to the golf club’s 17th hole, which he cleverly leverages to gain membership. C-Note’s crew wreaks havoc as they bring their larger-than-life style to the club. As the club’s hoighty-toighty leadership desperately tries to revoke C-Note’s membership, our hero realizes that his family’s honor – and secret record-breaking golf history – is at stake. As he takes on the fight of his life, C-Note pulls out all the stops to bring down the club’s backwards establishment and welcome them to the 21st century. Who’s Your Caddy? • NIKE DROPS MICHAEL VICK OVER DOG FIGHTING INCIDENT

SPONSORS ARE GONNA START DROPPING MIKE VICK LIKE IT’S HOT! » Nike was originally supposed to release a shoe named after Falcons star Michael Vick, but after his stint with the police following an incident involving some dogs, some fighting, and some blatant stupidity, they said “no sir!” Apparently Nike has told retailers it will not release a fifth signature shoe, the Air Zoom Vick V, this summer. Nike spokesman Dean Stoyer said the four shoe products and three shirts that currently bear Vick’s name will remain in stores. Vick will be arraigned next week in a Richmond, Virginia federal courtroom on charges of sponsoring a dogfighting operation. Meanwhile, Falcons owner Arthur Blank issued a statement today, saying the organization is “working diligently on exploring our options.”

“This is an emotionally charged and complicated matter,” Blank said. “There are a wide range of interests and legal issues that need to be carefully considered as we move ahead, including our need to respect the due process that Michael is entitled to. Also, this situation affects everyone - our club, our players and associates, our sponsors, our fans and the Atlanta community among them - so we must consider all of our customers in making any decisions. Given the differing perspectives and strong feelings around this issue, we probably won’t make everyone happy, but we are committed to doing the right thing. As the owner of this club that’s, ultimately, my responsibility.”

Blank added that he was “saddened and distressed about this - not for myself, for our fans and community who have been so loyal to us.” CONTINUE READING
