Mel B is saying that her relationship with Eddie was originally supposed to end up in marriage, and the pregnancy was definitely no mistake and did not happen on accident as people are claiming. She even had her IUD removed. I didn’t know what the hell that was until I checked THIS out. So I guess it’s a non-surgical approach to a woman “getting her tubes tied.” But to make a long story short, Eddie really did her wrong. First, the break-up. Eddie didn’t even step up to the plate as man and the tell the girl it was over. She had to find out on a TV show. “There was no official breakup,” she says. “I went to London and on my return flight I learned that he made that announcement about wanting a DNA test on that TV show. Then I saw him on the red carpet with Tracey Edmonds and that’s when I knew we were over.” When asked about her response to the situation, she said:
I laughed because that wasn’t the guy that I knew who told me he wanted to have a baby and get married. I just didn’t believe it. I had my lawyer send me the link for the clip of that Dutch TV show. I had to see it to believe it. When I saw it my heart dropped down to my gut. Obviously, there was something within him that I didn’t know. Then I thought, If that’s the kind of person that he truly is, then I’m better off by myself. I had to switch gears because I had press outside my property walking up to my front door. It was awful because I was pregnant. Eddie and I were extremely low-key; you didn’t see me going anywhere with him maybe once or twice. One of the reasons I moved to this country was to avoid the limelight so I could take my kid to the park and do my grocery shopping. So to have him embarrass me worldwide and have press knocking on my door—frankly, I was pissed and I was like, “Thank you! You have now put me in a whole different lifestyle where I have to have security, move to a new house, and move my kid out of the school she attended.” That was no fun.
When asked about Murphy’s excitement about the pregnancy, Melanie told ESSENCE.COM, “Oh this was a completely planned pregnancy. This wasn’t some random, “Oops I fell over and I’m pregnant.” I don’t live my life like that. I’m a responsible parent and have been a responsible single parent since I got divorced. This is the one thing that really annoys me. If I wanted to have a baby I would have had a baby a long time ago. I wouldn’t have waited eight years to have another one … As soon as I had my IUD removed we proceeded to get pregnant. It happened quicker than we expected but it was perfect timing.” Check out the full interview over at ESSENCE.COM!
Lately the U.S. leg of Beyonce’s tour has not been working in her favor. Bey’s very first show resulted in two fans obtaining minor injury from a pyrotechnics accident, and now … home girl fell down the stairs during a performance of “Ring the Alarm!” Read a fan’s account below…
Okay so I went to Bee’s concert in Orlando and like omg I nearly died. Ring The Alarm had just started and she was going down the steps and at the last couple of steps…. She FELL!!!!
She fell right on her face and like the mic flew out of her hand and almost fell off the stage. She quickly got back up and acted like absolutely nothing had happened!!!! I was beyond impressed. She is a very professional entertainer and I have the upmost respect for her. During the beginning of Suga Mama, she was like “Damn… That hurt so bad. I want to eat some hamburger helper.” The crowd went crazy. She even cracked a joke about it. She hurt herself though… I saw blood on her right leg and like the chick didn’t even flinch. I would’ve walked off stage and acted straight up diva-ish if I was her. Props to her. The concert in Ft. Lauderdale was amazing and the concert in Orlando was straight up gangsta!
Now y’all know somebody recorded that and is waiting for the right time to post it up on youtube. We’ll keep our eyes glued and be sure to post it as soon as we get it!!
DON’T FORGET WHERE YOU HEARD IT FIRST!!!! UPDATE:3:57 AM – YOUTUBE VIDEO BELOW!!!
More fan accounts and another angle of the fall after the cut! What are you waiting for??
If you didn’t already know … Kanye West and 50 Cent are beefing. Yeah, I know right? Big surprise there! Why are they beefing, you ask? Because their albums drop on the same day. T.I. vs T.I.P. and Ms. Kelly dropped on the same day, but you didn’t see T.I. and Kelly puttin up dukes outside at the BET Awards. Anyhow, originally, Graduation was set for a September 18 release. But Def Jam decided to move it up to September 11 (that rarely happens … you’ll usually find that albums get pushed back weeks and weeks). And apparently neither of the two rappers are moving! This is what Kanye had to say:
“I’d rather come out on a day like that, up against 50 — where people are excited about going to the stores and it’s an event and people talk about it — and be #2 on that day rather than come out and be #1 on a day nobody cares about,†West said. “It’s about things going down in history. It’s not that much exciting stuff in hip-hop right now. I think people are going to make it more than what I’m making it myself. At the end of the day, I’m making music and I’m trying to sell.â€
I, for one, hope that Kanye comes out on top and outsells fiddy by so much that there couldn’t be ANY room for speculation. What do you think?
This is Slim Thug’s first single, “Wood Grain Wheel,” from his upcoming album Boss of All Bosses’. The song is produced by Mr. Lee and is also featured on the Boyz N Blue compilation Serve & Collect. The video premiered July 23 on Yahoo! Music.
USHER AND TOM-EKA ARE GETTING MARRIED THIS WEEKEND? … OH, JOY! » ((Sigh)) I used to be a big Usher fan, but … I dunno. I mean the way he’s treating my girl ERIKA is just wrong. We were just talking about it the other day. I’m so glad she’s holding on to the site. Not for him, but for his fans. Anyhow, there’s a rumor circulating that Usher and Tameka Foster are making moves to get hitched this weekend. I’ve been hearing Friday, and I’ve also been hearing Saturday. So I really don’t know, and if you really wanna know the truth … I could care less :-\ But I figured y’all would, so there it is! The rest of the today’s rundown can be found … well, you know where it is! LOL CONTINUE READING
Okay. I recently got into this guy, Kevin Michael, after first peepin him on HIP AND POP with his critically acclaimed iTunes single “We All Want The Same Thing”; which later featured ya boy Lupe Fiasco. With Kevin’s music being both inspiring and phenomenally refreshing he also breaks down racial barriers in today’s society. Especially with this joint right here, “It Don’t Make Any Difference To Me (One Love),” although I really like the Acoustic version (the song + video) featuring Akil Dasan better – this one featuring Wycelf Jean isn’t so bad! But yeah, you really have to get into his music, you have no idea how much he has inspired me. I expect big things for this young man, I wish you all the best Kevin!
“First thing’s first, I does what I do!” LOL I love that song. Fabolous and Ne-Yo dropped by 106 and Park the other day and performed their song “Make Me Better” on the brand new 106 and park stage. Ne-Yo also performed his solo single “Do You” and Charlie Murphy was their to promote BET’s Hot Ghetto MessWE GOT TO DO BETTER (if you didn’t know, they changed the name), which I must add is making headline news JUSTABOUTDAMNNEAREVERYWHERE! Anyhow, check out more flicks of Ne-Yo & Fabolous after the cut! And since we missed out on the other celebs who dropped by 106, you can check flicks of them on the show as well!
Looks like our girl Lauryn Hill has messed it up for a Fugees reunion. Their performance at the 2005 BET Awards had me all hyped up and everything! I still bump to “Killing Me Softly” every now and then. But this is what Pras told to BILLBOARD:
“We went in the studio and recorded a couple records that were incredible. But, to put it nicely, it’s dead,” says Pras. “Me and Clef, we on the same page, but Lauryn [Hill] is in her zone, and I’m fed up with that sh*t. Here she is, blessed with a gift, with the opportunity to rock and give and she’s running on some b*llshit? I’m a fan of Lauryn’s but I can’t respect that.”
